Lily Turner and Alice Turner were just standing nearby, and they heard everything between Charles Thompson and Amber Wood.

There seed to be a relationship problem between them, possibly directly related to their mother.

"Sis! Do you think the woman Amber ntioned just now could be our mom?" Lily voiced her suspicions directly.

"I’m not quite sure either."

Like Lily, Alice also had such suspicions, but she didn’t dare to jump to conclusions.

"That woman must be talking nonsense, our mom didn’t know them at all before." Although Lily said this firmly, she was very doubtful in her heart.

When she was with Henry Thompson, from the first ti Charles t her, he was particularly kind to her and supported her in everything, always protecting her.

When she went to his place to break off the engagent with them as a couple, he was so supportive of her, even willing to fall out with his own son for her sake.

At that ti, she always thought it was because he liked her and considered her a suitable daughter-in-law.

But seeing his guilty look just now, there seed to be so hidden secret behind it all.

Alice glanced outside the courtyard gate; at this mont, Charles was already pulling Amber into the car, and just as he was about to open the car door, he seed to sense her gaze and turned his head to look into the courtyard.

As Charles suddenly turned his head to look, Alice quickly shifted her gaze to Lily, dodging his gaze.

Just after turning away, she suddenly felt her actions were sowhat unnecessary.

Why was she avoiding him? She just looked at him; it’s not like she had done anything to him.

"That woman must be out of her mind today, babbling nonsense. I really don’t know how that man can put up with her." She didn’t turn her head back but started talking to her sister about Amber’s excessive words and actions just now.

"Who cares about them? They’re both willing participants in their drama." Lily stood facing the courtyard gate and could just see what was happening at the gate; she saw Charles was already in the car.

In a mont, the sound of an engine starting ca from the gate.

Hearing the car starting and leaving, Alice instinctively turned her head to look at the gate; at this ti, she saw Charles’s car had already left the gate and quickly drove out of her sight.

"This suits them perfectly."

Alice withdrew her gaze from the gate, then turned it to Lily. She stared at her sister for a while, pursed her lips, and then slowly spoke: "Is there any part of you that still has feelings for Henry?"

Between Henry Thompson and Lily Turner, Alice had witnessed their whole emotional entanglent. No one understood Lily’s feelings for Henry better than she did.

Her sister had been wholeheartedly devoted to Henry, but Henry was involved with her sister’s best friend, and Alice could clearly see how much this hurt her sister.

Months had passed, and her sister had now found a good man who sincerely loved her, but Alice didn’t know if Lily still had feelings for Henry.

What Henry did was indeed terribly upsetting, but her sister had genuinely given her heart to him.

She worried that her sister still had feelings for Henry, which might affect her future life.
