Callix Linton, Michael Linton, and Serena Zimrman were all sitting on the couch in the living room, waiting for Easton Hols to return and explain the situation. When they saw him and Athena Linton walk in one after the other, the three of them instinctively sat up straight.
"Easton, boy! Who exactly is that woman?"
Before Easton Hols could co over, Callix Linton anxiously spoke up. Earlier, that woman had suddenly co in, claiming to be Easton Hols’ fiancée, and his first reaction was that she was lying.
Even though he didn’t know who the woman was, he knew his grandson very well, and his grandson was never the kind of person to be casual.
Easton Hols didn’t imdiately clear up his grandpa’s doubts. Instead, he walked over to sit down before explaining to the people present, "Ex-girlfriend."
Whether he admitted it or not, he had been in a relationship with that woman for more than a year.
If that woman hadn’t left suddenly, perhaps he might have married her by now, but now those are just maybes.
This was probably fate’s deliberate arrangent, arranging for that woman to leave, arranging for him to et Lily on that day. This was the fate specifically arranged for him.
Their destiny had already been determined long ago, but after going through twists and turns, the two of them t again years later and ca together.
"What?!"
Upon hearing Easton Hols’ explanation, Athena Linton exclaid, "Brother! You really had sothing with that woman? How could you do this to my goddess sister?"
She completely misunderstood the aning behind his words and was so angry that she raised her hand to punch him twice, but she still felt it wasn’t enough to satisfy her anger.
"Don’t speak recklessly like a child, your brother is not that kind of person." Serena Zimrman scolded Athena Linton because she understood Easton Hols’ character and knew he wasn’t soone who easily fell in love, nor was he a casual man.
Moreover, he only just said the woman was an ex-girlfriend and nothing else. She simply couldn’t believe that he was the type to drag things out, nor believed he would be two-timing.
It must be that the woman couldn’t accept it and, seeing he was about to marry soone else, decided to cause trouble.
It wasn’t just Serena Zimrman who thought this way; both Callix Linton and Michael Linton shared the sa thoughts. They both believed, like Serena, that Easton Hols was a reliable and trustworthy man.
Having never seen this woman before, Callix Linton thought that Easton Hols couldn’t have had a profound relationship with this woman. Otherwise, his grandson wouldn’t have kept silent and not ntioned it to him, let alone introduced her. He hadn’t even heard of such a woman before.
"Tell the sentry at the gate that if that woman cos again, don’t let her in." After knowing that the woman was just an ex-girlfriend, Callix Linton didn’t ask anything further, trusting that Easton Hols could handle it well. His only concern was that the woman might approach Lily Turner.
That woman didn’t look like a decent person, and his granddaughter-in-law was so innocent; she would surely be at a disadvantage.
"It’s already been taken care of on the way back."
Easton Hols had already considered that point when he was on his way back, and he made a phone call to arrange it. He couldn’t allow that woman to step foot in their ho again.
Knowing that Easton Hols had handled everything properly, the elders present felt assured. However, they still had one more thing they were worried about, which was whether or not to invite his parents to the wedding the next day.
"Easton! Your grandpa and I have one more thing we want to discuss with you." This ti, it was Michael Linton who spoke up first.
