Alice Turner had an injury on her hand and couldn’t drive herself. Thomas Fisher offered to take her, but she firmly refused. She was going to et Benjamin Shaw.
If that guy saw them, getting scolded would be a minor issue. If he got angry and refused to divorce her, that would be a real loss for her.
She walked to the roadside, raised her hand, and stopped a taxi that was passing by. Once the car stopped, she imdiately got in.
After the taxi left, Thomas Fisher quickly got into Alice Turner’s car and, compelled by an unknown impulse, drove after them. He wanted to see what on earth was more important to her than her own life.
He didn’t dare follow too closely, afraid that she might notice him from the car ahead.
Half an hour later, Thomas Fisher saw the taxi stop at the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau. He stopped his car at a distance.
Were they here to get a divorce today?
The answer seed obvious, but Thomas Fisher didn’t dare to jump to conclusions. After parking, he got out of the car.
He crouched behind a vehicle, secretly observing the situation at the Civil Affairs Bureau entrance.
Oblivious to what was happening there, Alice Turner got out and headed straight into the bureau with her bag, crashing into Benjamin Shaw who was coming out.
Alice Turner almost got knocked to the ground, but Benjamin Shaw caught her in ti, not forgetting to reprimand her, "What a hurry! What’s the rush?"
Seeing that she was steady on her feet again, he withdrew his hand.
"Sorry for making you wait. Let’s go in quickly," Alice Turner not only didn’t mind Benjamin Shaw’s scolding, but also apologized to him. After apologizing, she reached to pull him back into the Civil Affairs Bureau, but he slapped her hand away.
"I told you I had things to do, but you didn’t care. I’m not as free as you are." Benjamin Shaw glared at Alice Turner and walked towards his car, which wasn’t parked far from the entrance.
Seeing this, Alice Turner hurriedly chased after him, grabbing Benjamin Shaw, "We’re already here, it won’t take more than a few minutes of your ti."
She clutched him tightly with her uninjured hand but wasn’t sure if she could hold onto him.
"A few minutes might an nothing to you, but they’re important to ." Benjamin Shaw shook off her hand and continued walking towards his car.
He arrived here right at eight, but she didn’t show up for a long ti. When he called her earlier, she said she would be there soon, but it took her over half an hour to show up in a rush.
Even if he didn’t actually have sothing pressing to do, he wouldn’t go in to handle things with her today. His way of punishing her for not being on ti.
Alice Turner could tell Benjamin Shaw was upset about her being late, but it wasn’t intentional. She couldn’t think too much about it, so she ran after him again, grabbing him once more, "I know you’re busy, and I know ti is important to you. But we’re already here, can’t you just cut so slack?"
She didn’t know he really had sothing to take care of. Seeing his dissatisfaction, she thought he was intentionally making things difficult for her.
Even though she was already unhappy with his actions in her heart, Alice Turner dared not show a trace of it on her face. She was begging this man to divorce her, and she couldn’t afford to irritate him.
