It wasn’t until Thomas Fisher took out his phone from his pocket that Alice Turner suddenly rembered she had forgotten to get her phone back after he took it yesterday.
After the situation with Benjamin Shaw at ho, all she could think about was the divorce and she completely forgot about her phone.
Thomas Fisher subconsciously glanced at the phone after taking it out. It was a call from Benjamin Shaw, and Alice Turner had saved his na as "jerk," but Thomas Fisher imdiately recognized it as his brother’s number.

As soon as the call connected, before Alice Turner could speak, Benjamin Shaw’s impatient voice ca through the phone. She frowned, was he already at the Civil Affairs Bureau?
Upon learning that Benjamin Shaw had arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau, Alice Turner was surprised and sowhat anxious, with a bit of worry in her heart. Her voice beca cautious, "I’ll be there soon, just wait for a mont."
He was rarely this punctual and proactive, so she couldn’t drop the ball at such a critical mont.
"You better hurry up, I have other things to take care of later." After urging impatiently, Benjamin Shaw hung up without caring if Alice Turner would get angry or if she had anything else to say.
Already feeling anxious, after hearing what Benjamin Shaw said, Alice Turner beca even more worried. Taking the phone away from her ear, she asked the doctor stitching her up, "Doctor! How much longer will this take to heal?"
If it took a long ti to heal, she would co back to the hospital after handling her business. If it would be quick, she would wait a while longer.
"At least another fifteen to twenty minutes."
The doctor noticed her anxiety but still answered truthfully.
Upon hearing that it would take another twenty minutes, Alice Turner beca anxious, "Doctor! I have urgent business to attend to, I’ll co back later for the stitches."
With that, she didn’t bother with the doctor’s surprised expression and quickly stood up from the chair.
"What urgent matter could be more important than your wound?" Thomas Fisher reached out to hold back Alice Turner, who was striding out, thinking nothing was more important than her wound.
"This matter is more important than my life."
Alice Turner shrugged off Thomas Fisher’s hand on her arm and continued striding towards the door. The wound could be stitched later, but if she missed this opportunity today, she didn’t know when she would get another chance.
Not for a day, not even for a minute did she want to wait any longer.
There’s uncertainty in this matter, she couldn’t afford to be careless.
What in the world was so important that his brother was seeking her? So important that her life couldn’t compare to it.
Thomas Fisher was filled with doubt and worry. Unable to hold Alice Turner back, he could only stride out after her.
