Fabian Hols ca downstairs to the entrance of the hospital, planning to wait here for Easton Hols’s arrival. The drive from ho to the hospital was not far, just a matter of ten minutes or so.
He didn’t have to wait long at the hospital entrance before he saw Easton Hols’s car. Driving toward him, Easton also spotted him.
Seeing his father waiting at the entrance, Easton was not surprised at all and imdiately guessed that Mrs. Wang had called Fabian. If his judgnt wasn’t wrong, his father already knew about him going to see that brother.
Screech!
Near where Fabian was standing, Easton stopped the car, and once it was parked, he paused for a mont inside before getting out.
When the father and son t, they fell into an awkward silence, neither knowing how to start the conversation.
"You’re here?"
After a mont of silence, Fabian was the first to speak, breaking the tense atmosphere, but the three words he spoke were utterly redundant, rely searching for sothing to say.
Easton looked at his father who had spoken first, then turned to glance at the inpatient departnt of the hospital before turning his gaze back to his father, "Is Mom alright?"
A flicker of worry flashed in his eyes, but it disappeared too quickly to be captured.
"She’s fine now; the doctor said she could be discharged in a couple of days." Fabian, though not catching the fleeting worry in Easton’s eyes, knew that his son standing before him was concerned. Otherwise, his son wouldn’t have driven here in such a hurry.
Hearing that Alia Linton could be discharged in a couple of days, Easton unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief, though he didn’t realize it himself.
"Where’s Theodore?"
He didn’t continue the previous topic with his father, abruptly shifting the conversation to Theodore.
"Do you have sothing to discuss with Theodore?"
Already having learned this information from Mrs. Wang earlier, Fabian was not surprised by this question. What he felt now was worry and confusion.
"Yes!"
Easton only said the two words, leaving the specifics unspoken. He just wanted to find that brother quickly.
"Call him and ask where he is right now. I need to talk to him." He didn’t have that brother’s phone number. Although obtaining it wouldn’t be a problem for him, he preferred not to.
To avoid alerting anyone prematurely, he had his father call that brother to pinpoint his location, intending to rush there at the earliest possible mont.
"Did Theodore do sothing to upset you?" Having heard from Mrs. Wang earlier, Fabian had so doubts, but seeing Easton in person now, he saw it clearly.
His eldest son indeed looked very angry, confirming and amplifying his own worry.
Recalling the ploy Theodore had orchestrated, Easton’s anger rose steadily, "There’s no need to ask so many questions. If you don’t call him, I’ll have no choice but to trouble the police to find him."
Contacting the police was inevitable, but before doing so, he had to have a ’proper’ conversation with that brother. Otherwise, he couldn’t quell his anger.
Hearing this, Fabian instantly sensed the gravity of the situation. The matter was far more serious than he had imagined, and his heart leaped into his throat, "Let’s not bother the police with our family matters."
