Michael didn’t know what had happened on this side, nor did he know that the person on the other end of the line was not Fabian Hols but his sister, Alia Linton. Before he could hear Fabian’s voice, he started speaking irritably, "I’m helpless now, tell your son to handle it himself..."
"What on earth has happened? And what do you an you’re helpless now?" Alia Linton heard the seriousness of the situation and interrupted Michael anxiously before he could finish speaking.
Because of the distance, Fabian Hols didn’t hear what Michael had just said, but he heard Alia’s words loud and clear. He imdiately sensed sothing was wrong, and just as he was about to walk over to her, his body tensed up.
Michael on the other end heard Alia’s voice and was taken aback for a mont, but he quickly regained his composure, "Ask your brother-in-law about what happened, you..."
At this mont, Fabian walked over, quickly grabbed the phone from Alia’s ear. Whatever Michael said afterward, she didn’t hear a single word.
After reclaiming his phone, Fabian imdiately put it to his ear, and regardless of whether the other person had finished speaking, he imdiately asked, "Is Easton’s attitude that firm? Is there really no room for negotiation?"
He seed determined when facing , but is the son also like this when facing his uncle-in-law?
If that’s the case, what should he do? Does he really have to watch the two of them turn against each other?
"There’s no room for negotiation, tell your son to fend for himself." Michael wanted to say a few things about Theodore, but realizing that it wouldn’t change anything now, he decided to save his breath, knowing that even his father hadn’t said much.
Upon hearing this, Fabian’s heart sank to the bottom, "Can’t you help persuade Easton a little more? Easton listens to you, he might change his mind."
His tone was tinged with a slightly sour note, mixed with bitterness, as he spoke without realizing how exasperating his tone was.
"Easton was brought up entirely by Dad; I trust his ways of handling things. As long as he has made a decision, both Dad and I will fully support him and help if necessary." Over the phone, Michael could clearly feel Fabian’s bad temper and began speaking less politely.
Without first examining his own problems, he’s quick to put all the bla on others. He should’ve refused outright earlier.
Even at this point, Fabian still wasn’t aware that his way of handling things was inappropriate. Hearing Michael say this, he could no longer control the resentnt in his heart, "What do you an by that? Are you going to help Easton gang up against Theodore?"
He truly thought that way now, believing that his brother-in-law was going to help his eldest son take on his youngest son.
"Against your son? It’s not that I look down on your son, but your son doesn’t even require Easton to use his full strength to handle him. Easton only needs to exert one percent of his ability." Michael flared up suddenly, irritated by Fabian’s lack of remorse. His words ca out of spite, but they were also true to the situation.
He knew his nephew’s capabilities well, there was no need to exaggerate to intimidate the person on the other end of the line.
