After breakfast, Easton Hols personally drove the Linton family of three to the airport. Lily Turner really wanted to go with him to see off her uncle’s family, but thinking about how doing so might attract paparazzi and fans, she had to abandon the idea.
"Grandpa! Goddess sister! I’m leaving."
Athena Linton’s eyes filled with tears as she got in the car, turning her head back every few steps.
"Goodbye!"
Lily Turner couldn’t handle such a lancholic farewell scene, tears stread down uncontrollably. She wanted to control them but couldn’t, so she turned her back toward Easton Hols’s car.
She tried not to look at the people in the car, otherwise, her tears would flow even more fiercely.
Compared to Lily Turner, Callix Linton was much better. Over the years, he had experienced too many such scenes. He felt uncomfortable, but he wouldn’t cry as she did.
"Dad! Please take care of yourself, we’re leaving." After putting the luggage in the trunk, Michael Linton ca over to bid farewell to Callix Linton. He had spent so many years in Golden Morning that he couldn’t fulfill his filial duties in front of his old father, and he felt he owed his father a lot.
He had more than once suggested bringing his father to Golden Morning to live with them, but every ti he was refused. His father said he couldn’t leave his hotown, but Michael knew that his father couldn’t let go of his beloved granddaughter the most.
"You all just focus on your work. Don’t worry about too much. I have not only Easton with but also Lily, so rest assured." Callix Linton spoke casually, but his heart wasn’t as light as it appeared. When one grows old, one hopes for their children to be around, but he knew that was impossible.
"Dad! We’re leaving, please take care of yourself." After saying goodbye to Callix, Serena Zimrman turned to bid farewell to Lily Turner. She had noticed earlier that Lily had been crying and patted her on the back, "Child! You should smile more. You look especially beautiful when you smile, and it’s very infectious."
She tried to keep her tone light, just to lessen the sadness of the farewell.
Lily Turner quickly wiped away her tears and turned to say goodbye to Serena Zimrman and Michael Linton, "Uncle! Aunt! Goodbye!"
At this mont, her tears were under control, but she still felt very sad.
Not wanting to prolong the sadness for each other, Michael Linton and Serena Zimrman turned around and got in the car. As soon as they were seated, Michael had Easton move the car.
As the car slowly drove out of the yard, Lily Turner’s newly restrained tears welled up again. Worried about being seen by the people in the car, she didn’t dare to walk out of the gate to see them off.
After Callix Linton watched the car drive away, he turned back to the yard. Seeing Lily Turner still crying, he sighed helplessly, "Girl! Stop crying and go read the newspaper to Grandpa."
He gave her the order in a gentle tone, just to help her stop crying quickly. Seeing her cry, he himself felt so uncomfortable that he wanted to cry.
Hearing Callix tell her to go read the newspaper, Lily Turner was montarily taken aback, then she understood his intention.
The request for her to read the newspaper was an excuse; stopping her from crying was the real goal.
She wiped her tears away with her hand, took a deep breath, cald her sad emotions, and followed the old man into the house.
Just as they walked into the house, the phone rang. Lily Turner instinctively moved to answer it, but just one step in, Callix Linton grabbed her, "This call is for , I’ll take it."
