Easton Hols went to the hospital to visit Alia Linton, but those at ho, Callix Linton and Lily Turner, were unaware. It was already lunchti, and he still hadn’t returned, making Lily a bit anxious.
Glancing at her grandfather who was sitting calmly on the sofa, she got up and went over to call Easton Hols. As she was about to dial, she discovered the phone line was disconnected from the phone.
Lily was montarily stunned but didn’t think much of it. She reconnected the phone, and once she confird the line was properly plugged in, she imdiately called Easton.
"Hello!"
The phone had just rung twice when Easton picked up. Not knowing whether it was his grandfather or his wife calling, he didn’t dare to speak recklessly.
"Honey! Where did you go? Why haven’t you co back yet?" Lily asked two questions in a row. According to the ti, he should have been ho over an hour ago, yet she hadn’t seen a trace of him.
Hearing his wife’s voice, Easton imdiately relaxed, "Miss ? I miss you a lot too. I’m hurrying back ho to see you right now. Be a good girl and wait for at ho, okay? I’ll be ho soon."
His tone carried urgency and sothing else special, and after speaking, he even whistled to her over the phone.
"Alright, I won’t talk to you anymore. Focus on driving, bye!" That guy is so cheeky; she didn’t want to continue talking to him.
Lily stole a glance at Callix who was watching TV and quickly hung up the phone, not caring whether Easton had anything else to say. She didn’t want to collaborate with his cheekiness, especially if her grandfather overheard, that would be really embarrassing.
Callix had been observing the situation. Seeing her hang up, he tilted his head to look at her, "When will that kid Easton be back?"
He didn’t hear a word Easton said on the phone, but he understood what Lily had just said quite clearly.
"He said he’ll be ho shortly."
That guy claid he’d be ho soon; he couldn’t possibly be teasing her since she heard the sound of car horns just now.
Lily put down the phone and moved back to the sofa, waiting for Easton to co back and have lunch together.
"We’ll start eating when he gets back," Callix said, then suddenly rembered sothing and continued, "Are you hungry? If you are, you can go eat first. I’ll wait for Easton."
He could endure being hungry for a while, but if she was hungry while pregnant, it’d surely be uncomfortable for her.
"A little bit, but I can wait a little longer." Lily was indeed a bit hungry, but she still wanted to wait and eat together with Easton. She could hold on for another half hour, but any longer, she feared she wouldn’t have the willpower.
Seeing her firm decision, Callix didn’t persuade her to eat first and shifted his gaze from her to outside the window.
That brat! Hurry back, your wife is waiting, hungry just for you.
Easton didn’t keep Lily waiting long, returning ho in about ten minutes. As he was parking the car in the yard, she got up from the living room and quickly walked to the door to greet him.
"Honey! You’re finally back."
Even before Easton reached the door, Lily had already opened it. Seeing him coming over, she boldly stepped forward toward him.
Seeing her walking toward him, he opened his arms and hugged her, lowering his head to give her a playful peck: "Sorry to keep you waiting."
