Being criticized by his own son like this, Fabian felt both angry and sad, and even sowhat mournful, "Easton! How can you say that about ? No matter how bad I am, I’m still your father."
He knew he had neglected his elder son over the years, but this couldn’t be entirely blad on him. He was completely unable to control the situation. Who wouldn’t want to keep their son close and take care of him?
