Upon hearing Sophia Wood’s question, Alice Turner was quite sure that her mom had sothing to discuss with her, probably sothing rather tricky. She glanced at the report on her computer and said to the person on the phone, "Not busy, Mom! Just go ahead and tell what’s up."
She wasn’t in a rush to deal with the report; she could look at it tomorrow. She had finished today’s work, and unless sothing urgent popped up, she could even sit and drink coffee to pass the ti, though that wasn’t her style.
"I’m facing a difficult situation right now and I don’t know what to do. I want to discuss it with you." Sophia Wood didn’t specify what the troubleso issue was, just vaguely ntioned it.
Hearing this, Alice Turner imdiately responded, "What is it? Mom! Just tell directly."
After she finished speaking, she quietly waited for the person on the other end of the line to say sothing.
"Did you see the post online? The one about Lily and Easton?" After asking this, Sophia Wood suddenly realized that Alice Turner probably hadn’t seen it yet. If Alice had seen it, she would certainly have called her imdiately.
Alice Turner’s next words confird Sophia Wood’s suspicions, "Post? What post? Mom! Send the link."
She only goes online for research and news, never paying attention to gossip and such.
"The post has already been deleted, but the focus is not on that. It’s about the person who posted it." Sophia Wood was most troubled by Theodore Hols, the person who posted the ssage; although the post was deleted and shouldn’t affect Lily Turner and Easton Hols, the situation behind it was still ongoing.
If the person who posted it wasn’t the son of her best friend, she wouldn’t care at all and would just let her son-in-law handle it, but now that she knew, pretending to be ignorant was impossible.
Alice Turner hadn’t yet figured out what the post was about when Sophia Wood threw another situation at her. Curious and puzzled, she grew extrely interested in this poster, "Who is the person who posted it?"
Her mom specifically ntioned this person, so they must be soone unexpected.
"The person who posted it is Easton’s half-brother." Sophia Wood didn’t keep Alice Turner waiting long and very thoroughly explained who the poster was.
Alice Turner had just thought that the poster might be Evelyn Taylor, but to her surprise, it turned out to be Easton Hols’s half-brother, which indeed was shocking, "How could it be him? What kind of post did he make?"
If she guessed correctly, that post must not have been a pleasant one.
"It said Easton is a scumbag and Lily stole soone else’s husband and beca the other woman." Sophia Wood summarized the main content of the post, which was primarily what it conveyed.
Hearing this, Alice Turner was furious, "What?! He’s talking nonsense!"
How dare he call her brother-in-law a scumbag and her sister a howrecker? She really wanted to confront that man.
"Sigh!"
Sophia Wood understood Alice Turner’s anger; she had been particularly upset at the ti, her reaction even more intense than Alice’s. Even now, she felt extrely agitated.
But thinking about that little rascal being her best friend’s son, she couldn’t help but sigh.
"Mom! Why are you sighing? Am I wrong?" Over the phone, Alice Turner heard Sophia Wood’s sigh, which confused her.
