Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher lingered in the car for a long ti before reluctantly getting out. After she got out, she didn’t imdiately walk toward the apartnt but instead bent down to look at him inside the car, "You go back."
She waved to him in the car, signaling him to drive away first.
"I’ll leave after I see you go inside."
Thomas Fisher didn’t drive away first as Alice Turner suggested. Instead, he tilted his head to look at Alice standing outside the passenger side door. He wanted her to go in first; he wasn’t willing to leave without seeing her enter.
If he wasn’t worried about the negative impact on her if they were seen, he would have gotten out to escort her upstairs.
Alice wanted to say sothing more, but seeing Thomas’s firm attitude, she didn’t insist further and waved to him in the car. She straightened up and walked toward the apartnt.
Even though she had her back to him in the car, she knew he was watching her. She waved her hand behind her and strode into the apartnt.
Thomas Fisher didn’t leave imdiately. Instead, he sat in the car staring at the apartnt door, lost in thought. After being in a daze for a while, he got out of the car and looked up at the ho located on the sixteenth floor.
When he looked up, it was pitch dark inside. But soon he saw the lights turn on in the ho, and as he gazed at the warm lights, the corners of his mouth unconsciously curled up.
Thomas leaned against the car door, hands in his pockets, and looked up at Alice Turner’s ho, unwilling to leave for a long ti.
anwhile, upstairs, Alice Turner and Benjamin Shaw were arguing at ho, all because of Thomas Fisher downstairs.
After leaving his parents’ residential area in a fit of anger, Benjamin impulsively drove to the apartnt, the marital ho of his and Alice’s wedding.
He thought she would co back quickly by taxi, but he stayed at ho for a long, long ti without seeing her return, mysteriously growing anxious.
Feeling restless, he couldn’t sit still. He got up and walked to the living room’s floor-to-ceiling window, stood there looking down, but couldn’t see her figure for a long ti.
Just as he hesitated about whether to call her, he suddenly saw a very familiar car parked downstairs.
He stared at the car for a long ti but didn’t see anyone getting out.
At this mont, Benjamin Shaw didn’t know Alice was in Thomas Fisher’s car; he thought Thomas had co here looking for Alice. Not seeing Thomas get out for a long ti, his heart was full of confusion and bewildernt.
After staring at the car for a long ti, he suddenly saw Alice getting out, and his expression suddenly turned ugly, his eyebrows knitting together instantly.
The scene of Alice bending over to wave goodbye to Thomas and Thomas getting out of the car to look upstairs was all witnessed by Benjamin Shaw standing at the floor-to-ceiling window.
"Alice Turner! Didn’t I tell you to stay away from Thomas? How can you be so shaless?" As soon as Alice opened the door and entered, Benjamin’s insulting words were thrown at her, taking her by surprise and startling her so she instinctively turned on the ho lights.
As the lights ca on, her heart that had been pounding in shock gradually cald down.
Benjamin walked directly toward Alice who had just entered, and before she could rebut, he spoke again: "If you want to ss around, find another man. Don’t stain my good buddy."
