This ti, it was Thomas Fisher who called Benjamin Shaw. He picked up the phone just before it was about to hang up automatically, "Brat! What are you calling about at this hour?"
"Brat" was his habitual way of speaking, but today it didn’t sound quite natural.
"Bro! Where are you right now? Co out and let’s have a drink together." Thomas Fisher, as usual, called Benjamin Shaw "Bro," but even this sounded a bit off.
Alice Turner was standing right in front of Benjamin Shaw. The way Thomas Fisher called out was very clear to her ears. She subconsciously glanced up at Benjamin Shaw, only to find him looking at her at the sa ti.
She hadn’t expected him to look at her, and was a bit taken aback. Feeling sowhat guilty, she quickly shifted her gaze elsewhere after that mont of surprise.
Alice Turner’s little evasive gesture was clear to Benjamin Shaw, but he averted his eyes from her, turning to face another direction to avoid standing right in front of her, "Of course, I’m at ho now, unless you..."
"You’re at ho?! Which ho?" Hearing Benjamin Shaw say he was at ho, Thomas Fisher suddenly got excited and exclaid out loud.
Upon hearing this, Benjamin Shaw’s brow furrowed sharply, but he quickly smoothed it out, trying to keep his tone calm as he spoke, "Of course, I’m at my New Fla City ho, brat! Why are you so excited? Do you find it strange that I’m at ho?"
The person on the other end of the line was too agitated for it to be difficult to notice.
"Haha! I’m just curious, you don’t usually go ho much, and hearing you say you’re at ho felt a bit off." Thomas Fisher smiled foolishly as he drove out of the neighborhood entrance after hearing Benjamin Shaw say he was at his New Fla City ho.
But his expression was as bad as it could get, just that Benjamin Shaw couldn’t see it over the phone. His smiling face was uglier than when he cried.
Benjamin Shaw and Thomas Fisher have been friends for more than ten years. Even though he couldn’t see Thomas through the phone, Benjamin could sense that sothing was odd with Thomas, "Brat! Don’t say such things carelessly, what if Mom and Dad hear it, I’d be in trouble." He paused, then continued, "Didn’t you want to drink? Then co over now, we can drink at ho."
He directly extended an invitation for his good brother on the phone to drink at ho, what he truly ant only he knew.
When she heard this, Alice Turner’s hand, hanging by her side, clenched into a fist, and her face showed a tense expression. Luckily, Benjamin Shaw’s back was to her, otherwise, he would have seen her abnormal reaction.
"Then forget it, let’s et another day." Thomas Fisher wanted to turn back, but considering that Alice Turner would feel uncomfortable if he went up, he restrained that impulsive thought.
Earlier, he hadn’t seen his Bro’s car downstairs, could his Bro be lying to him? No way, his Bro didn’t know that he was with her. If he did, he wouldn’t be this calm.
Benjamin Shaw, however, did not hang up the phone but continued to probe the person on the other end, "Did sothing good happen today that you’re inviting for a drink?"
As he asked this, he suddenly turned around to look at the woman behind him.
