Seeing Alice Turner going to such lengths for a divorce, Benjamin Shaw also felt a surge of anger in his heart. He yanked away the two hands clutching his clothes, "I’m making things difficult for you, what can you do to ?"
He gave her a glare and strode towards the door.
"Benjamin Shaw! You stop right there." Seeing Benjamin Shaw heading for the door again, Alice Turner imdiately chased after him, and caught up to pull him back as he was about to leave through the door.
"Get lost!"
Suddenly grabbed by Alice Turner, Benjamin Shaw forcefully flung her arm off with a wave, and at the sa ti, gave her a shove.
Thud!
In his anger, his push was heavy and rough. She fell to the ground and as she did, she couldn’t steady herself, her head crashing hard against the wall by the door.
The sudden situation left Benjamin Shaw montarily stunned, stupidly staring at Alice Turner, whom he had knocked to the ground, and for a mont, he even forgot that the first thing he should do is help her up.
Alice Turner did not expect Benjamin Shaw to have the decency to help her up. Nursing the spot where she had banged her head, she imdiately scrambled up from the floor.
"For the sake of both of us, let’s get the procedure done tomorrow." After getting up, instead of settling accounts with the man who knocked her down, she once again brought up getting a divorce with him.
Despite having bumped her head, Alice Turner didn’t get angry; instead, she beca even calr, showing no sign of rage on her face.
What kind of person is this woman anyway? Why isn’t she angry? Not even crying out in pain?
Benjamin Shaw was particularly puzzled by this, his eyes instinctively glancing towards Alice Turner’s head. The swelling on the right half of her forehead appeared without warning in his view, and his brow furrowed suddenly.
"Is your head alright?"
Seeing the swelling on her forehead, he blurted out. At this mont, his tone was much softer than before, and his attitude had improved many tis over.
"I won’t die."
Hearing Benjamin Shaw ask about her head, Alice Turner replied curtly with three words.
It’s just a bump on the head; she’s not that delicate. During Taekwondo training, she got injured more often, and much more seriously than this. She didn’t make a peep back then.
This woman truly doesn’t know what’s good for her; he kindly asks about her head injury, yet she’s acting like this.
Benjamin Shaw quickly collected his sympathy and guilt, his speaking tone and attitude reverting back to how they were. "Since you won’t die, I can leave at ease, so I don’t have to worry about being held accountable."
After saying this, he coldly gazed at her standing at the door, aning to say, get out of the way, I’m leaving.
"I’ve already said, if you don’t agree to file the paperwork tomorrow, don’t even think about leaving here today." Alice Turner, however, showed no awareness of moving aside, standing still at the door. Her head couldn’t have been smashed for nothing. If she just let him go today, she wouldn’t be satisfied.
Benjamin Shaw raised a hand to yank Alice Turner, standing immobile at the door, but suddenly recalled the recent incident and lowered his hand again, "You’re really annoying, woman."
At this mont, besides glaring with anger, there’s nothing else he could do.
"Since I’m so annoying to you, hurry up and get the divorce papers done with , then you won’t have to see again." Alice Turner completely ignored Benjamin Shaw’s glare and continued talking about the divorce.
