Alice Turner had just walked into her room with her phone when Thomas Fisher called. She stared at the phone for a long ti until it was about to disconnect before she leisurely answered.
"Thomas! Are you planning not to let sleep tonight?" she shouted at him over the phone.
"I just wanted to say goodnight." Thomas wasn’t at all upset; in fact, he wasn’t the slightest bit angry. He spoke softly to Alice, "Goodnight, sweet dreams, but your dreams must include ."
He said it as if he were giving an order, even using the word "must."
"Got it, I’ll try to dream about you tonight."
When Alice saw Thomas calling earlier, she thought he was going to complain about her turning off the video. But to her surprise, he called just to say goodnight, and her heart felt warm.
Thomas corrected her, "Not try, but must."
His tone was quite domineering, and his words were no less so.
"You’re so bossy!" Alice rolled her eyes at the white wall.
In response, Thomas deliberately said, "I’m only bossy with you."
Because of love, he naturally developed a domineering attitude toward her.
"I feel quite honored, Young Master Dalton! Is there anything else you want to say? If not, I’ll hang up first." Despite his dominance, Alice wasn’t upset; in fact, she seed quite happy, and her emotions were revealed through her tone.
Although he couldn’t see Alice on the other side of the phone, Thomas sensed her happiness and smiled widely, "Nothing for now."
"Then I’ll go dream now."
Without waiting for his response, Alice decisively hung up the phone.
After hanging up, she climbed into bed, but despite saying she was going to dream, she tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.
Her mind was in a turmoil, trying to make sense of things was extrely difficult. She stared at the glaring white ceiling.
Like Alice, Thomas couldn’t sleep either. After hanging up, he had no trace of sleepiness.
He leaned against the bed, playing with his phone in hand, with images of them together flashing through his mind...
Buzz buzz buzz!
The phone in his hand suddenly rang. Thomas imdiately picked it up to see, and upon recognizing the number displayed on the screen, his face broke into a joyful smile. Without hesitation, he quickly answered the call.
"Can’t sleep?"
The call was from Alice. As soon as he saw her number, Thomas guessed that she couldn’t sleep either.
"Yeah! You can’t sleep either?"
Thomas answered the call after just two rings, and Alice figured he must be unable to sleep too.
Thomas openly admitted, "I miss you so much I can’t sleep. Are you the sa?"
He really did miss her, especially in the stillness of the night, he missed her intensely.
"Yeah!"
Alice had other thoughts on her mind, but what she thought about the most was Thomas. She couldn’t help but think of him, and whenever she thought of sothing else, his image would suddenly pop up.
"Why don’t we video call again?"
As Thomas suggested this, he had already sent her a video call request. She didn’t respond with words but replied with action.
She hung up the call and opened WeChat to accept his video call request.
