Seeing Alice Turner had already walked away, Lily Turner couldn’t wait for Easton Hols to respond to her anymore, and she moved to follow Alice. But as she took just one step, he reached out and grabbed her, causing her to tilt her head in confusion and look at him, "Why are you grabbing ? I want to go inside and eat."
She raised her other hand to pull his hand off hers, but despite tugging for a long ti, she couldn’t get his hand off. She frowned in bewildernt, "What kind of trick are you playing?"
She looked down at his hand gripping hers, indicating she wanted him to let go.
"You were quite captivated just now, huh? Is your brother-in-law that good looking?" Easton Hols curled his wrist slightly, pulling Lily Turner to his side. He looked down, staring at her without blinking, as if he was going to devour her.
Upon hearing this, Lily Turner finally understood why Easton Hols had suddenly blocked her path. Turns out, he was being petty again. But this ti she didn’t argue with him nor explain. Instead, she used her free hand to grab his shirt, "Have you noticed your good friend is behaving quite strangely today?"
As she spoke, she leaned her head to look towards the restaurant, but saw nothing as he blocked her view.
"I haven’t noticed anything strange about him, but I’ve noticed you’re acting oddly, paying extra attention to other n today." Easton Hols looked serious, as if discussing sothing very important.
Lily Turner initially didn’t want to bother with Easton Hols’ mood, but seeing his current expression, she had to explain, "Honey! Don’t be jealous for no reason. I just found his behavior today a bit unusual, so I looked at him a couple more tis."
She realized her husband was getting increasingly petty, so maybe she’d have to leave her eyes at ho when she went out.
"Unusual..."
"Easton! Lily! Co and eat."
Noticing Easton Hols and Lily Turner hadn’t co in for a while, Christopher Turner stepped out of the restaurant to see what was happening. Seeing them talking not far from the restaurant, he called out to them.
Upon hearing Christopher Turner call them, Lily Turner quickly looked over in the direction of the voice, "Dad! You guys go ahead and eat first, we’ll be right there."
While responding to her dad, she shook the hand holding his shirt, signaling him to stop acting like a child.
"Okay, you two hurry up then."
Seeing Easton Hols didn’t even turn his head, Christopher Turner thought they surely had sothing to discuss, so he turned back into the restaurant.
"Let’s go eat."
Just as Lily Turner was thinking about how to persuade Easton Hols to go in for dinner, she suddenly heard him say that, and her eyes widened in surprise.
Seeing her expression, he couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing, "Ha! Why are you looking at like that?"
He waved a hand in front of her eyes, causing a shadow to flicker across, making her blink reflexively.
"You were pretending just now?"
Seeing Easton Hols suddenly laugh, Lily Turner belatedly realized he was pretending earlier; pretending to be angry, pretending to be jealous. He had fooled her.
"Let’s hurry inside; we shouldn’t keep mom and dad waiting." Easton Hols didn’t respond to Lily Turner’s question but instead led her directly to the restaurant. She rolled her eyes at him for deceiving her and said nothing more, following his steps into the restaurant.
