Chapter 270: Strolling Through The City With Zafira, And Mosquito

The two walked through the crowded streets peacefully, and during that ti, Rael pretty much explained how his fight against Alene went.

Obviously, Zafira knew what he was capable of, so hearing that Alene pretty much mopped the floor with him was surprising.

But even so, she gave him a peck on the cheek.

“Don’t worry. When she finally cos out, we’ll get her together,” Zafira assured with a warm smile.

Rael let out a chuckle. “I’m sure we will… though, what do you think that mory was about?”

“Hmm…” Zafira fell into thought as she stopped and sat on the sidewalk.

He did the sa and waited for her input.

Earlier, he’d explained the strange system conversation he had, a bit about the fragnts too, and of course, that odd world awakening sequence in the mory record.

So after a few monts of pondering, Zafira finally nodded.

“I got nothing.”

“…” Rael facepald. “With all that dramatic build-up, you could’ve at least co up with so bullshit to make feel better.”

Zafira giggled as she played with her hair, shooting him a knowing look.

“Maybe I can co up with sothing if I have so ice cream~”

As soon as she finished speaking, Rael reached into the premium shop and bought her so delicious strawberry ice cream.

He handed it to her, and her expression imdiately lit up.

She licked the ice cream as she began voicing her thoughts.

“Well… let’s see…” Zafira tilted her head. “You did say you ate the eye and then appeared inside a dungeon, right?”

Rael nodded.

“And… this mory you saw, you’re sure it happened right after you ate it?” Zafira asked. “Them breaking in, you shooting them, and then that weird world awakening.”

“I’m pretty positive, Zafira,” Rael replied plainly. “It didn’t seem fake, and the system’s cryptic ssages only made more convinced. I’m pretty sure it’s real. I just don’t know how to go about it… Alune isn’t back either, so I can’t ask her.”

Zafira licked her ice cream and t his eyes.

“What if you’re an avatar?”

He raised a brow, waiting for the punchline.

“What?” Zafira shrugged. “Doesn’t it seem likely that you’re the avatar of so ancient Supre Beast?”

Rael sighed, but he couldn’t dismiss that fact.

I an… how can I? I have the Supre Beast’s fucking bloodline, and I also have so of its mories. Am I the Supre Beast or sothing?

Basically, he felt like a frog at the bottom of a well.

Anyhow, the two talked a bit more about it until eventually, Zafira finished her ice cream.

“The Zafirapedia has expired,” she announced with a puffed chest. “If you wish to chat more about this topic I don’t know anything about, insert so ice cream.”

Her eyes widened. “Don’t you dare… That’s the only fun I have after doing boring paperwork for days. I’ve already rewatched that corny vampire TV series you showed twice. It’s so bad… but it’s funny.”

Rael chuckled and stood up, extending his hand.

Zafira stared at him for a few monts and then accepted his hand.

Their fingers interlaced, and the two began walking along the streets in silence.

Temperia was a calm city, but it was a pity it didn’t have anything interesting to show for it.

Sure, there was the magic tower museum in the very middle, but he knew Zafira wasn’t that interested in magic.

She had her own spells, and from what little he saw, she had hundreds of them.

Seeing soone wave around a glowing candy cane probably wouldn’t interest her.

That was why he suddenly wrapped his arm around her waist and, in the next mont, jumped off the ground.

Because of his movent speed and strength, he soared up to the clouds and slightly beyond.

And yet, the darkness was still present.

After all, the eclipse wasn’t going anywhere.

“Odds on destroying the moon?” Rael mumbled.

Zafira suddenly pinched his cheek. “If you destroy the moon, we’re all going to die. Just leave it be for now. It might disappear eventually.”

“But what if I can destroy it without any debris falling?”

She pinched his cheek harder.

Getting the hint, Rael simply let out a sigh.

Since he reached the pinnacle of his montum, he soon began falling with her in his arms.

But before he could fall too far, he kicked the sky.

The air cracked slightly, but to his genuine surprise, it gave him a slight foothold which he used to jump back up again.

“Air walking…?” Zafira muttered. “Seriously?”

Rael let out a confident chuckle and tried kicking the air again.

However, instead of cracking it, he suddenly did a full 180 vertically and began falling headfirst toward the ground.

But even as he fell, Zafira’s lovely smile didn’t disappear.

And just as he was prepared to stop their fall with a simple punch, a very surprising situation occurred.

Zafira’s body began to slowly float as beautiful pixie wings ford on her back.

Then, she simply grabbed him by the scruff and stopped him from falling further.

She leaned in with a smirk and kissed the dazed Rael on the lips.

“And you have a flying skill… show-off,” Rael grumbled.

But since he didn’t want to be outdone by his wife, Rael decided to cheese the system a little.

He scrolled through the bloodlines until eventually, he found what he was looking for.

His eyes widened, but before he could say anything, Zafira cleared her throat and looked at him with a warm expression.
