Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster Chapter 323: Quick Work
The rest of Green team didn’t seem too powerful, but Rael could never be too sure.
That one... Rael’s gaze landed on one of the Chosen Heroes. He seems powerful, but what’s his class?
He was the plainer-looking of the two, with the other clearly being so sort of archer.
Before Rael could wonder for long, that archer drew back his bow, and in the next mont, sent a volley of arrows flying Rael’s way.
But that wasn’t all as the people who had been too afraid to approach now had no one blocking their path.
Just like that, the actual battle started.
As the arrows were about to reach them, an ice wall was erected, cleanly blocking them.
Or so Rael thought. But the arrows slipped through the ice as if it didn’t exist, and soon, Rael began to dodge, but a few arrows still managed to pierce him.
[HP -250! 1,850 / 4,930]
They didn’t hurt as much as he expected, since it seed like the damage of these arrows was capped at 50 per arrow, likely the reason they were able to pierce the ice in the first place.
On the other hand...
"Hehe... so many appetizers~" Maria giggled. "Co then, let embrace you all."
The mont she finished her words, like a wave, the people running for them all stopped.
A single trickle of blood ran down Maria’s nose, but she simply wiped it away and shot a thumbs-up toward Rael.
"Don’t worry, I got these people. You can focus on the others."
Rael rolled his eyes, then glanced at Rain, who, without waiting for a command, ran toward the Chosen Heroes.
As for Jane and Julian, the two remained standing by, healing Maria if needed.
Rael followed after Rain, and a few monts later, they finally arrived in front of the two Chosen Heroes.
The archer seed puzzled by their appearance, but even so, he drew back his bow, ready to fire.
At the sa ti, his arrow turned golden, then red, and finally, it shot out straight at Rael.
Yet without even batting an eye, Rael extended his hand and caught the incoming arrow.
[HP -111! 1,739 / 4,930]
It burned his hand a little, but even so, Rael jumped up into the air, then threw the arrow with all his strength.
The archer’s eyes widened as he summoned several dozen arrows of all sorts of elents, trying to block it.
But in the face of actual power, those arrows were torn to bits as the arrow Rael threw had made it all the way to the archer.
Just as it was about to pierce through the archer, the arrow suddenly stopped.
It didn’t take Rael long to realize it was the Chosen One who seed so weak and innocent just a mont ago.
"You two should calm down," the man said. "We’re not here to fight per se, we just want to figure out the true aning of this test. There is no way that the only condition to win is to kill each other. That wouldn’t make sense. We’ve been chosen as heroes, after all."
"And so were the rest of the people, yet for so reason, they never acted like heroes," Rael remarked with a chuckle. "So what’s your power? Gravity? That’s pretty overpowered."
The man shook his head, and in the next instant, vanished from Rael’s sight.
Yet not even a second later, Rael heard a pair of footsteps behind him.
"Wrong," the man muttered. "But you’re on the right track."
Rael turned his head, and to his surprise, there was a needle embedded straight into his abdon, and he just hadn’t noticed.
That was because he didn’t feel any pain, nor was there any pop-up.
But before he could ponder it further, Rael felt his body contract in the area where the needle had struck.
And he soon understood what was happening.
Rael’s brows furrowed, and without wasting a single second, he entered the Soul Realm.
To his surprise, the Temporal Chains vanished from his body, and even the contractions were gone.
Yet that just made this entire scenario much more troubleso.
After all, an enemy who could control ti to a certain extent was bad news.
It seed like Rain had recognized this fact, as he sent out an onslaught of attacks toward the man and the archer.
After a few attempts, he was left sprawled out on the ground, frozen just like Rael would have been if he hadn’t escaped.
However, with such power ca limits, because there was no way soone at this level could control ti freely.
So with that in mind, Rael decided to get rid of the obstacle first.
Walking behind the archer, Rael exited the Soul Realm and, without hesitation, slashed the archer’s neck.
-4400! Fatal Hit!
He didn’t even have ti to react before falling lifelessly to the ground.
Why was he so low-level? Rael wondered as he pushed aside the body and glanced toward the ti mage.
"What? Are you going to freeze again? Is that it?" Rael mused.
The man tilted his head. "That’s really sothing else, but you’re no match for—"
Before he could even finish his words, a hand ran straight through his chest, pulling his heart out.
"Kugh!" The man’s eyes widened. "You... how!?"
Rain didn’t react as he clutched the heart, destroying it.
The man jumped back as glowing runes appeared all throughout his body, especially where his heart had been.
Yet Rael was one step ahead as he appeared behind the man and swung his sword down, cleaving him in two.
< 90 Free Stat Points>
So that’s where all that guy’s levels went, Rael thought with a chuckle as he wiped the blood off his sword and glanced at the nonchalant Rain.
The duration should’ve been 120 seconds, so how did he escape in less than 5?
