[Zafira’s POV]

(Outer Sun God Anubis’s Palace, a few minutes before the mory wipe)

"Gegh! Let go!" Lilith yelled, trying to escape Zafira’s grasp.

But even as the seconds passed, she was unable to break free.

"Who are you?" Zafira asked coldly, strengthening her grip around Lilith’s neck, then eased up just enough so she could talk.

But then Zafira realized sothing from her provocative appearance, as well as the horn.

Oh... isn’t this the Demon Queen, Lilith?

"I told you Rael sent here!" Lilith protested, then bit Zafira’s wrist, causing her to montarily let go of Lilith.

Lilith pushed away and approached the bean bag that belonged to none other than Anubis.

And speaking of Anubis, she was sitting on the bean bag with a stoic face, not having blinked in several minutes.

"Look, you need to help him," Lilith said. "He’s fighting so Grade 5 being on our world. If you don’t act soon, he might die."

Zafira froze.

Rael is going to die?

"What do you an? What’s happening?" Zafira asked urgently.

Lilith brushed her off as she waited for Anubis to answer.

After a few monts, a silent snore resounded, causing a look of disbelief to appear on both of the won’s faces.

Zafira stepped up to Anubis, grabbed her ear, and pulled.

Anubis shot awake, her eyes widening. "O-Ow! Hey! What do you think you’re doing!?"

"Show Rael," Zafira said coldly.

"He’s fighting," Lilith chid in. "I was getting a bit overwheld by the pressure... so he sent away. I appeared here, and this crazy person tried to choke out."

"Yeah, I don’t care about that, but... give a second," Anubis replied plainly.

She extended her hand and tapped the air dramatically.

And yet, nothing happened.

She tapped again, then again.

However...

"Huh... sothing is blocking from looking over there," Anubis muttered.

All of a sudden, she slashed her hand downward, causing a small rift to appear in the air.

The mont it did, she grabbed the rift’s corners, then expanded it until eventually, they were able to clearly see through it.

Yet the sight was a bit unexpected.

There was a world in front of them, but it was extrely small. Still, she knew for a fact that the continent they were overlooking was none other than the Dralgur Continent.

I can’t see anything... Zafira thought, trying to zoom in her vision sohow.

"This is the only way I can connect us with that place," Anubis explained. "We’re on the Sun currently... and I zood in as close as I could. Trust ."

She let out a sigh. "If you don’t see it, just know that I do. And—"

Before she could even finish her words, the world shook, followed by a single streak of white traveling from one end of the continent to the other.

Right after, a streak of gold followed.

Zafira was starting to grow uneasy. She couldn’t send a ssage to Rael, nor could she check his condition.

"Oh..." Anubis’s eyes widened. "Shit... he’s fighting a very troubleso opponent..."

"I know." Lilith nodded. "There were two of them. What happened to the first one?"

"Not sure. I can only see that woman there. No one else is beside her except Rael," Anubis replied, a shiver running down her spine. "Every ti I see her, sothing bad happens. Are you sure you want to keep watching?"

Zafira approached the rift, and as she was about to step through, Anubis grabbed her by the arm.

"What do you think you’re doing?" Anubis asked. "You do know that the mont you step out, you’ll face the full brunt of the Sun’s heat, right? You’ll be incinerated in an instant."

"Then send down there. I’ll help him," Zafira said, her voice cracking.

She knew this day would co. Rael had talked about it so many tis before.

The visions, the prophecies. Even the beings he had seen or fought.

And this being he was fighting was likely the leader, Solenne.

She’s strong... he told she’s one of the strongest in all the universes... Zafira thought, eting the hesitant gaze of Anubis.

"Send there," Zafira repeated.

But instead of a response, she was t with a deathly silence, which gave her enough ti to think of her choice.

"Zafira... he sent here," Lilith reminded, her gaze falling lower. "If he was confident in winning... then he would’ve kept around. He might’ve even told to get backup, but he didn’t. He didn’t want to die... and if you go there, you will die."

"I agree with the demon." Anubis nodded slowly. "And even if he did tell her to bring backup, I still wouldn’t have sent you down there under any circumstances."

Zafira’s brows twitched as she extended her hand outward, then summoned a single sword.

Deadly purple aura swirled around the blade, ready to cleave anyone in half.

But from her unstable emotional state, the aura soon faded, and so did the grip over her sword.

"Send ..." Zafira mumbled. "If you don’t send ... he’s going to die."

Tears began streaming down her cheeks.

It felt like she was suffocating, because if Rael died, she might as well die too.

"I understand how you’re feeling," Anubis said. "Frankly, I had this exact sa scenario happen to one of my... friends."

Anubis grumbled. "Her husband was fighting the army of heaven, and when it seed like the battle was over, the army’s true size was revealed. What he had faced was not even 1% of heaven’s army. It was more like 0.01%."

"Still, my friend couldn’t accept it. She begged to send her down... I was young, and I was naive. I was optimistic enough to believe that a single person could change the outco of the battle. But alas, the only thing I did was get my friend killed. So no, I won’t be making the sa mistake twice."

Anubis’s face darkened as she slightly rubbed her eyes, wiping off a nearly invisible tear that had ford.

In the next instant, the world shook once more, and the two streaks of light were sent flying back to the Dralgur Continent, crashing right into the Demonic Lands’ mountains.

"Send there..." Zafira pleaded. "Please... you’ve seen what I can do, haven’t you? I can create another eclipse... I can make myself immortal and kill that thing. I can bring Rael back alive!"
