Capítulo 548: A Lifeti Of Sorrow For One Second of Happiness

“You want to fly this?” Lilith asked, baffled. “Won’t we just take the whole Cave of Maw dungeon with it? The demons will go broke.”

Rael rolled his eyes, and while she thought she was on to sothing, she really wasn’t. This space, although a way below the Cave of Maw, was not really in the dungeon anymore.

He would know, since the fuckers who raided this spaceship after he left went on to cause the next two world wars, until finally crashing the ship on a nearby planet and being stranded.

Nonetheless, Rael assured her that everything would be fine and walked up to the console.

Before he could press a button, Lilith got in front of him.

“Let do it,” she said. “I’ve never played around with sothing like this before.”

“ neither,” Rael replied with a sigh. “Rock, paper, scissors—!?”

He couldn’t even play the sa ga he’d played earlier before she went on to press a random planet.

Imdiately, the ship began to tremble, and shortly after, the windows that had previously been tinted began to glow.

To his surprise, the ship was already in space, hovering above his planet. He could see the Dralgur continent at the far end of the world, and even the snow continent he had visited after being tossed toward it with the help of Solenne.

But before he could admire that sight, the ship began to move rapidly, launching Lilith to the other side of the cockpit. Rael remained standing, but he could admit the pressure was sothing.

Furthermore, the view of the planet had disappeared, but even then, the sight outside the ship was nothing short of srizing. When he had been moving at light speed, he only saw darkness, but now, there was an abundance of light. Particles crashed into the ship, while so moved alongside it.

Lilith steadied herself, holding onto one of the pods.

With his foresight, Rael spotted her about to accidentally open one of those pods, so, to avoid that, he approached her and grabbed her hand, pulling her close as she went on to tightly hold his back. Her chest was pressing into his back, and he could feel her rapid heartbeat.

Sighing inwardly, he brought his gaze back toward the sight outside of the ship. It seed like the particles were decreasing, eventually turning the entire view into nothing but darkness.

He felt uncomfortable at that sense of familiarity, but not for long, as the ship suddenly stopped. He nearly fell forward from the pressure. On the other hand, the pods that had been holding the shadow demons slightly cracked.

Rael wasn’t too worried, since even if they were to escape, he could just kill them with a single mind attack.

Despite that, a loudspeaker soon blared inside the ship.

—You have arrived on planet Silvion! There are no active demons on the planet! There are no active angels on the planet! Safe to conquer!

“It’s a little loud,” Rael mused, looking ahead. The ship was hovering just a few thousand kiloters from a small green planet. He could feel a few strong people, but no one he couldn’t handle.

So, while Lilith couldn’t see what he was doing, Rael activated one of his newest Premium Perks.

Rael humd in satisfaction and then pressed “Yes.” Even while he wasn’t directly on the world, he saw the world montarily shake, and then the pop-up he had been expecting appeared shortly after.

Damn, that’s a really big dip from Lightea World. Still, when in Ro…

Since he had so graciously liberated the world, and since both of them were bored, he decided they were going to have so fun.

He pointed at the hatch above them.

“Let’s go to that world. It seems pretty peaceful, so let’s just not announce we’re demons, and let’s eat so delicious food.”

Lilith just stared at him, a faint, warm smile gradually forming on her face.

“Okay.”

(Several hours later…)

—You have arrived on planet Lightea! There are >50,000 active demons on the planet! There is 1 active angel on the planet! Kill all angels! Conquer the planet!

Rael rubbed his temples and then glanced at his clothes. He looked like so emo kid straight out of a 90s TV series. But Lilith wasn’t any better; her clothes were baggy, and she had puffed sleeves.

Instead of her usual straight, flowing hair, it was all gathered upward, every strand pointing skyward. She looked ridiculous, with many rings, two pairs of glasses, and even a piercing on her lip…

“Pfft…”

“What?” Lilith pouted, crossing her arms. “See sothing funny?”

“It’s nothing, you just look…” Rael held back a laugh. “You know, I feel like the piercing might be a little over the top.”

Lilith shook her head, determined. “The people there were way too nice, so how could I have said no to a piercing? Plus, it’s not like I can’t take it out whenever I want.”

She lowered her head, slightly fidgeting.

“P-Plus, it’s a reminder of today. I enjoyed it a lot… Did you?”

“Of course I did,” Rael replied honestly. “It’s been a while since I’ve had this much fun just doing random stuff. Plus, those people thought we were so god apostles, so we didn’t even need to spend a penny.”

He walked up to her and gave her a tight hug, which she returned with an excited look.

However, while he did enjoy Lilith’s company a lot, it was getting late, and he had to go back to Zafira.

But before that, he pulled away and gave her a quick pat on the head.

“You can keep the ship,” he said, surprising her.

“Are you sure? This must be worth a fortune, and you’re the one who found it, so—”

“It’s in your land, Lilith,” Rael cut her off with a smile. “But if you care so much… What’s yours is mine, and vice versa. After all, we are technically married, aren’t we?”

She lowered her head, caught off guard. She opened and closed her mouth, trying to utter a few words, yet failing.

Rael chuckled inwardly, and after pinching her reddened cheek, he vanished through the hatch, making his way toward Celestara.

Silence fell over the ship once again, and although he knew his actions had consequences, he underestimated Lilith just a little too much.

She sat down on one of the pods, her cheeks red as she kicked her feet back and forth, mumbling all sorts of incoherent words with a wide smile.

Her horn grew and then began to glow. Her mumbling stopped, as did the kicking of her feet. She was still, deathly still.

Upon closer look, her eyes flashed like so sort of film reel. Visions, mories, and more were being played out in an instant. So mories went by faster than others, while the most recent ones were particularly slow.

Within only a single minute, her eyes returned to normal, but her cheeks were even more red than before. She mumbled Rael’s na under her breath and let out a shaky breath, as if all the stress she had been feeling had washed away.

And yet, she didn’t seem fully satisfied.

She placed her finger on her lip piercing, her smile widening as her horn began to glow, causing her eyes to flash like film reels once again.

Amidst the stillness of the ship, silence descended one minute, and giggles the next, over and over again…
