As soon as Dayus entered that waiting room, he froze on the spot.
"Flaming skulls, got a hold of a Legacy inheritance. A fucking LEGACY INHERITANCE. Can you believe it?"
"What the hell? A legacy inheritance? How is it possible? How did they even know about it?"
"Apparently, Sam, Dayus and the flaming skulls all were fighting for it. It turned out Dayus had a special tip about it and went to find out, but Sam tailed him and almost got an upperhand, finally the flaming skulls swooped in and took it away.
I heard there waas a young man who even managed to beat Sam. I dont know if that last part is true though."
They were loud whispers as if they were really discussing so secret and Dayus really wished it was just that.
However, to his dismay, everyone else was also discussing this secret. He looked around to find Sam, who was sitting in the middle in a ditative state. Dayus rushed to him, but before he could reach ten minutes of him, he froze once again.
Sam's killing intent was radiating, like he was ready to kill anyone who cos near him. And this made him hesitate a bit. But Sam already sensed his presence and opened his eyes.
"Did you leak the information?" Dayus asked with so newfound determination.
"Trust , the news leaked out from your end, not mine." Sam spoke and stood up.
Dayus thought for a mont and asked.
"Do you have any leads on the Flaming Skulls?"
"It is not my job to catch them, why are you asking ?"
"You are here in this realm way before . With all your obsession, do you really want to believe that you don't have any information on them?"
"I don't care if you believe or not. Even if I have the information, there is no way i am giving to you. Fourteen Days. It will take fourteen days for the inheritance to be fully processed and the rging to begin. That ans, I have fourteen days to get that back.
Why would I give you the headstart with all that information? Grow a brain Dayus."
Dayus gritted his teeth and wanted to yell sothing, but Sam's aura scared the shit out of him. He could imagine what kind of rampage Sam went in the last few hours of the third day. He was clearly pissed off, there is no use in pouring oil over the fire.
"How about we team up? I don't believe they didn't piss you off with all of their activities."
"No, they haven't done a thing to until now. I was even happy with their activities. The damage they dealt to Olympus might not be on the sa level as the damage I caused, but it was still good."
"Really? So assholes stole the legacy inheritance that was almost in your hands. And you are praising them?"
"Of course, what do you think I am? A person like you? Unlike you, I am a person capable of respecting even my arch-neses. That wouldn't stop from killing them though. Good luck with your search."
Dayus went back to stand with his team.
He looked around, he is sure that the flaming skulls are definitely there, however they are definitely not in their irregular uniforms and they are not wearing their disguises. If only he could beat the crap out of all of them and make them confess. But he cannot do that.
Many thoughts went through his head as the rewards are being processed and distributed for each of them.
His brain was on overdrive, when he finally couldnt get any more ideas, he looked at Sam. He noticed that Sam's eyes were glowing. That reminded him of the energy vision that sam usually uses.
He finally got an idea. The next mont, he rummaged through his storage and took out sothing. He turned to his team and asked.
"I have got a plan. The flaming skulls are definitely here, we might not be able to catch them now, but we can still try."
He whispered his plan thoroughly. White and the others felt a skeptical for a little while, but they finally complied.
They all took out so tools and started roaming around the room.
Sam looked at their actions and chuckled.
"You know, it would be easier if you just beat the crap out of all of them and make them reveal their storages right here and now. That plan actually might have so success."
Sam said before the dinsion opened and everyone left.
Dayus didnt have any coback, because Sam's suggestion was his original plan. To rile up the crowd and make them all prove that they are not the flaming skulls. But he has to avoid that plan. He doesnt exactly know how much the flaming skulls know about the legacy inheritances. He doesn't want them to reveal anymore information than they already have.
He is also sure that the mont he makes these people reveal their storages, he will have a huge target on his back. They will resist, he will insist, they will resist more, he will use his status and noble league to make them bend.
No matter the result, they will bite his head off when they get a chance.
Who wants that risk?
By the ti he reached the Academy grounds, the news has blown up. Every participant contacted the organizations they are associated with. Their academy, clan, sect, faction or even their gang.
The news reached spread through the Olympian region and reached every other region before the outside realms all ca to know about it.
That night, Dayus and Dean of Zeus Academy sat in the Dean's office.
The Dean held his head tightly as he looked at Dayus with exhaustion and exasperation.
"What the fuck did you do? Do you know what is going to happen now?"
"Dean, I already told you, the information didn't leak from my side. I don't know how the flaming skulls got a hold of this."
"Forget flaming skulls, how did Sam know about about it?"
"I dont know that either. Now, how about we try to figure out how to get out of this situation, instead of trying to figure out how this happened. We have to do the damage control."
"What Damage Control? Tonight, Deans from all over the region will send their representatives here or they might even co here themselves. We already screwed up. Just hope that if Sam and the flaming skulls know more information about the remaining legacy inheritances, they are going to keep their mouths shut.
Or we would be fucked."
Dean cursed.
He has been having bad days one after another. The cases are piled up against the academy and the pseudo hell issue, flaming skulls killing his freshn. If that is not enough the other Olympian deans are now going back on their agreents.
Regarding the pseudo hell issue, he offered them so favors as the compensation so they wont make it the issue between their academies, but he heard the rankers filed cases against their own deans because of this.
So, now they are denying the favors and just want 'justice' for their students.
Dean did have a plan of course. To bring his niece, pearl into the realm, put her through so bogus air tight judicial process and make her compensate the students as well as use the chance to expel her.
And the expulsion should directly co from the enforcers.
That way, it won't look like he was openly protecting her. Even if it was implied, nobody can prove shit and they can bite his ass for all he cares.
The only problem there was that his brother. Lord Theron, hid Pearl away and he himself was very hard to contact.
He even prepared so special package to compensate in exchange for him to put on this show and save Pearl. But he couldn't get in touch with his brother. He must have gone back into that mountain and only physical contact is possible.
Dean wanted to eventually make a trip after the first pocket dinsion is over and Dayus is back with the legacy inheritance.
However, shit hit the fan once again.
As they were discussing, the attendant knocked on the door.
"Sir, other Deans are here."
"Olympian Deans? Not just them, sir. Norse, Sanatan, Xia, they all already sent representatives. They said, that their Deans will be on their way based on the situation."
"Fuck."
Dean cursed once again and walked out to et them.
Dayus sighed in exhaustion. He doesn't know why things are progressing this way. This was supposed to be his ti to shine. The stage was set for him. He was supposed to take care of flaming skulls and increase his prestige. He was supposed to recruit the most loyal soldiers with the legacy inheritances.
Now his stepping stones, stepped on him and took away the inheritances.
Sam and his friends were watching this whole fiasco as they laughed their asses of.
