Sam’s declaration set the whole academy realm on fire.
Even with an event as grand as the conquest, had to take a backseat in importance because of Sam’s actions.
Every academy held a secret eting. Because the implication that Sam could easily kidnap an elder and then deal with that elder personally... its not a good feeling to have. Basically, Sam showed that the difference in cultivation levels doesn’t matter much.
And if this ability, or ans, or whatever the hell that he used... can be scaled and sold... it ans a lot of elders would be fucked.
Zeus academy more than everyone else is in the most panicked state.
It was their person that Sam targeted now. Dion... And that guy wasn’t exactly ordinary.
Even though he is just an instructor, he has enough background to make the Zeus academy reconsider.
And Bloody Chariot along with Heron, are now feeling imnse pressure. The family Dion belonged to already contacted them and warned them firmly that they would withdraw support if anything were to happen to Dion.
Its not that the Zeus academy can’t survive without their support. But they are afraid, once this sets a precedent, the other families and organizations will follow suit.
Bloody Chariot slumped into his chair and sighed.
"Just when I thought I acquired so relative peace in my life. Why did I get dragged into this ss again?"
Heron sighed as well. He felt even more exhausted.
Now, every month, they were already struggling to pick up the coins needed to pay the Hub. At least, because of the conquest, the trade center and everything else, the coins are now circulating again. But still, a good chunk of their academy inco is drained every month to subsidize the students.
Technically, their academy is paying the most money to the hub at this point.
They had their hands full and honestly, they liked it. They didn’t have to worry too much about anything else other than making sure they got more in the conquest.
Even though Sam wrecked their second grade, they found solace in the fact he won’t be involved too much in the third grade.
Then, Sam started poking around in the third grade realms.
It was still digestible. Now it evolved into the ss they are in right now. Sam is now ssing with instructors and elders.
"I want to kill Dion with my own hands. Why the fuck would he get involved in assassination of that perverse bastard?" Heron massaged his throbbing head.
"Get in line. I want to kill him and the father who gave birth to him. So, those kinds of idiots won’t be born and burden this world anymore." Bloody Chariot sighed in resignation.
"So, what are we going to do?" Heron asked.
"What else? I am going to have a chat with Ling Tian. There is no way we can give up an instructor.
Send an elder after the instructor. Keep him close and make sure that he stays safe."
"I tried. But right now Dion is in the middle of an important mission in one of the worlds. He can’t leave at the mont."
"Screw everything else. Tell him to get his ass back to the academy. If he gets killed what the fuck does he need that world for?"
Bloody Chariot cursed without any inhibitions. In a way, that shocked Heron more than what Sam did.
Bloody Chariot walked out of the room.
*RUMBLE*
The sky crackled with purple lightning and dark clouds.
He sighed. That has been the situation of the sky ever since Sam made that loud declaration against Zeus.
Now Zeus, the king of Olympian gods is angry.
Ten minutes later.
Bloody Chariot and Ling Tian are sitting in a room.
The exchanged glances, observing each other and they almost chuckled at the situation they were in. Both of them looked worn out. They looked like life has been sucked out of their bodies.
Their eyes were bloodshot, and their bodies were slouched.
"You know why I am here." Bloody Chariot broke the silence.
"I do."
"I am sure, you don’t want this to happen."
"I don’t."
"Then tell how we can stop it."
"I don’t know." Ling Tian was pretty direct with the answer, which stunned Bloody Chariot.
The latter leaned back into the chair and looked at the ceiling.
"Have you ever thought that things could be like this?"
"What do you an?"
"When we were younger, when were at Sam’s age and at Sam’s level. Do you rember the reverence we had for the absolute strength the elders had at that ti?
Do you rember how angry and unwilling we were deep inside, despite showing reverence to their strength?"
Ling Tian also leaned back and said.
"I do."
"Now, a guy like that, is making guys like us, feel this exhausted.
I am sick of this Ling Tian. The worst part it, I can’t even bring myself to kill him and just end it all. Ironically, even when he made that announcent, I knew that killing him is the only option to resolve this fast, but that thought didn’t cross my mind.
That kid, even making experience this hell, made admire him."
Ling Tian didn’t say anything. But Bloody Chariot continued.
"Find him Ling Tian. Find him and tell him to stop this. I don’t want to kill him. But if things get out of hand like this... I will.
Consequences... if push cos to shove, I have ways to avoid them. I just need to buy a borrowed knife and I have a shit ton of people I could call in favors from.
Just tell him to let this go. Maybe I will make these guys who plotted against him to compensate. But this has to stop.
He proved himself more than he needed to. A guy like that shouldn’t lose his life over so quest for instant revenge.
Its only a matter of ti before he can co back and break these guys down with his own hands. Don’t let him ruin himself."
