"Mom, Mom... How’s Dad?" Jas Reed rushed over and grabbed Charlotte Reed outside the operating room, "What’s going on? How did Dad suddenly end up in trouble?"
"I don’t know either." Charlotte Reed hung her head painfully, "Your dad suddenly fainted at ho."
"What exactly happened? What’s wrong with Dad?" Jas Reed was desperate, even ignoring the sweat that broke out on his face as he dashed all the way here.
"Jas, Uncle is still inside. If you ask Aunt like this, she wouldn’t know either." Hayley Cole spoke tily, stopping Jas Reed.
She was really worried that if Jas continued to grasp like this, he’d break Charlotte Reed’s arm.
"Sit down first; Uncle will co out soon." Hayley Cole advised, "You’re hurting Aunt by grabbing her like that."
"Mom, I’m sorry, I didn’t an it." Only then Jas Reed realized his actions, quickly released his hand, and gently rubbed Charlotte Reed’s arm, "Mom, let see, is it bruised?"
"It’s alright, Mom’s alright." Charlotte Reed hurriedly said, "Let’s wait until your dad cos out."
Jas Reed nodded, but he didn’t sit down; he kept pacing back and forth in front of the operating room door.
After a while, the operating room door opened, and Ethan Seymour was wheeled out.
"Doctor, Doctor, how’s my dad?" Jas Reed charged to the doctor and asked anxiously.
"We tried our best, now... you should spend more ti with the patient." The doctor’s words were like a thunderbolt to Jas Reed, who stood there dumbfounded, not knowing how to react.
Hayley Cole quickly walked over, tugging at Jas Reed’s sleeve: "Jas, let’s quickly go see Uncle."
"Yes, yes..." Only then did Jas co to his senses and stumbled towards the ward.
Once inside the ward, Jas Reed looked at the pale-faced Ethan, and tears stread down uncontrollably from his eyes, his trembling lips uttered a word: "Dad..."
"Jas." Ethan Seymour weakly opened his mouth, looking at Jas Reed.
Jas Reed quickly walked over to the bedside, knelt down, and held Ethan Seymour’s hand: "Dad, what do you want to say?"
"Jas, in this lifeti, Dad owes you an apology." Ethan Seymour spoke with great difficulty, slowly articulating each word.
"No, Dad. You’ve been wonderful to , really wonderful." Jas Reed said fervently.
"Good son!" Ethan Seymour sighed with relief, "But Dad has always had sothing he couldn’t let go of."
"Dad, tell !" Jas Reed promptly asked.
"Jas, I haven’t seen you settle down yet." Ethan Seymour’s words slightly worsened Jas Reed’s expression, "Dad, I..."
"Dad knows you’re a person of deep emotions and sense of duty, but sotis you need to quickly let go of those who aren’t right." Ethan Seymour’s words went without rebuttal from Jas Reed.
"Dad just wants you to carefully observe those around you." Ethan Seymour said weakly, "Look, Hayley is so good to you. She’s innocent, kind-hearted, and really likes you."
"Dad, what are you talking about? Hayley she..."
"Don’t tell you don’t have feelings at all." Ethan Seymour quickly interrupted Jas Reed, "If you didn’t have feelings, would you treat Hayley so well? I haven’t seen you treat any other woman this well."
