The venue was set up to be quite romantic, but of course, Kai Bright didn’t plan on going as extravagant as Charles Seymour.

"Thank you to all our family and friends for coming, we..." Father Bright gave a brief opening speech, followed by the engagent ceremony.
Lucy Wells, holding onto Kai Bright’s arm, slowly walked down the flower-strewn red carpet and onto the stage. Under the witness of both families, they exchanged engagent rings.
"How wonderful," Sophie Wilson said with envy, leaning against Charles Seymour’s shoulder.
Charles Seymour glanced at Sophie Wilson and said, "Yeah."
"But I want to tell you sothing secretly." Sophie Wilson whispered in Charles Seymour’s ear, "I think my engagent is the best."
Charles Seymour’s lips subtly curved up, nodding lightly, he affird, "Our wedding will also be the best."
Sophie Wilson looked at Charles Seymour in surprise. Wasn’t this guy thinking a bit too far ahead?
Charles Seymour looked at Sophie Wilson innocently and asked, "Aren’t you looking forward to it?"
"I..." Facing Charles Seymour’s serious deanor, Sophie Wilson couldn’t even muster a sarcastic remark. She knew how much Charles Seymour cared about this matter. "Of course I’m looking forward to it."
"I knew you were. I’ll expedite it." Charles Seymour nodded confidently, looking as if he was doing it all for Sophie Wilson’s sake.

"Bless my ass!" An abrupt voice cut through the happy words on stage, drawing everyone’s attention uniformly.
At the venue’s entrance stood a woman, her clothes clearly indicating a life at the bottom rung of society—if not outright tattered, then certainly shabby.
Her hair, gray and straw-like, was a tangled ss.
The deep wrinkles on her face etched a grim expression.
"Well, Lucy Wells, you’ve got so nerve. You, you little vixen, snagging a rich family’s young master, are you happy now? Have you told them how despicable you are, abandoning your boyfriend and framing your uncle? Do they know what kind of person you are?"
Sophie Wilson frowned, looking at the suddenly appearing Daisy Lewis, Lucy’s aunt-in-law. How did she show up here?
Even if her brother’s security wasn’t as tight as her Mr. Seymour’s arrangents, it shouldn’t have been so easy for soone to just slip in, right?
