"I don’t agree with you being with soone like that!" Ethan Seymour said resolutely.
Charles Seymour glanced at Ethan with no emotion: "You don’t agree? What the hell does that have to do with ?"
Ethan’s disparagent of Sophie made Charles abandon his usual reticence and snap back directly.
"I am your father!" Ethan cursed angrily, "I’m telling you, if you stay with this woman, you won’t get a single penny of my inheritance!"
Charles laughed, just a slight upwards curve of his lips, but it made the sarcasm perfectly clear, impossible for anyone to overlook.
"When did the Seymour Family beco your domain?" Charles looked at him coldly.
Ethan glanced at the grim-faced Old Mr. Seymour, then said coldly, "I’m talking about my estate!"
The disdain in Charles’s eyes deepened further: "Mr. Seymour, do you think everyone is like you, marrying a woman you don’t love against your conscience just to inherit an estate?"
This sentence hit Ethan’s sore spot directly, angering him to the point of a darkened face: "What did you say?"
"Stating facts." Charles sneered, "Your estate? I never wanted it. Save it for your so-called ’true love’ son."
"If it weren’t for the Seymour Family, could you have lived this comfortably, enjoying good food and lodging?" Ethan reprimanded, "I’m telling you, if you don’t obey, I’ll stop your dividends."
Charles completely disregarded Ethan’s threats.
Old Mr. Seymour spoke up: "Since when do you call the shots at Seymour Corporation?"
"Dad, he won’t listen at all and insists on being with such a woman. We can’t let him go astray." Ethan pleaded earnestly.
"Charles, what exactly is going on?" Old Mr. Seymour asked.
Charles looked at Old Mr. Seymour and countered with a question, "Did they co just to badmouth Sophie?"
The ’they’ in his words naturally referred to the mother and son from the Reed Clan. Ethan was even more furious upon hearing this: "They’re your mother and brother!"
Charles directly ignored such ignorant words from Ethan.
"Big brother, I was just..." Jas Reed just started to speak when Charles interrupted him, addressing Old Mr. Seymour, "No matter what people say outside, Sophie is my girlfriend now and will be my wife, the mother of my child!"
After saying that, Charles stood up directly, "I’m leaving now."
"You ungrateful child!" Old Mr. Seymour also anxiously stood up.
Charles didn’t give Old Mr. Seymour a chance to speak, turning away and pulling Sophie Wilson along as he left.
"Charles Seymour! You bastard, what attitude is this?" Ethan shouted angrily inside the room, then turned to Old Mr. Seymour and said, "Dad, look at him..."
"Get out, all of you!" Old Mr. Seymour was already furious, finding Ethan incredibly annoying.
"No, Dad, he’s the disobedient one, I am..."
"I said get out!" Old Mr. Seymour slamd his cane on the floor hard and shouted, "Butler, throw them out for !"
"Hey, Dad, you..." Ethan still wanted to say sothing additional, but the butler ca over and said, "This way, please."
"Dad, we should go back ho first; don’t upset Grandpa," Jas hurriedly advised.
"Yes, Ethan, let’s go first," Charlotte Reed also ca over to pull Ethan.
Seeing his wife and son saying this, Ethan finally left reluctantly.
