"Dad, Mom, could you... apologize to Auntie?" Ophelia Wilson looked at her parents awkwardly, "Auntie’s health isn’t good."
"Ophelia, you’re putting her in harm’s way," Clarissa Taylor frowned and said, "No one provoked her today; she’s the one looking for trouble. For her own health, she shouldn’t speak about Sophie Wilson like that, especially since Sophie is my lifesaver."
"Sister-in-law, whose side are you on?" Erie Wilson was furious, constantly pushing Benjamin Walton, "Benjamin, I want to go to my parents’ house and have them judge this."
"Okay, okay... don’t get worked up, don’t get worked up." Benjamin Walton hurried to persuade her, then turned his head, gave Mason Wilson and Clarissa Taylor a reproachful look, and shook his head helplessly as he went to handle the formalities for Erie Wilson.
"Get out, I don’t want to see you!" Erie Wilson started to throw a tantrum.
Ophelia Wilson awkwardly said to Mason Wilson and Clarissa Taylor, "Dad, Mom, maybe you should step out for a bit. Auntie shouldn’t be agitated."
Clarissa Taylor frowned as Mason Wilson pulled her out.
"Auntie, don’t be angry. That Sophie Wilson did save my mom..." Before the door closed, Ophelia Wilson’s voice could still be faintly heard trying to persuade Erie Wilson.
Clarissa Taylor looked angrily at Mason Wilson, biting her teeth and lowering her voice, "Where does she get the nerve?"
"Don’t be mad," Mason Wilson comforted his wife, "I’m investigating. Once I have all the facts, I won’t let this thing slide easily."
He was already investigating based on the clues that Charles Seymour had given him at the ti. Once he had sufficient evidence, he would let his daughter return to his side openly and righteously.
Erie Wilson was truly angry. Even when they reached ho and she got out of Benjamin Walton’s car, she didn’t look at her brother and sister-in-law, angrily entering the house.
"Mom, Dad!" Erie Wilson searched for her backing as soon as she walked in to lodge a complaint.
"Oh dear, Erie, what’s happened to you? Why did you end up in the hospital?" Old Mrs. Wilson, upon seeing her youngest daughter, pulled her close affectionately, looking her over with concern.
"Mom, I got so angry I fell sick." Seeing her mom, Erie Wilson found her pillar of support, and her eyes quickly reddened.
"Who? Who did it?" Old Mrs. Wilson got anxious at once. Her daughter had a heart condition since birth, and she had been raised with great care. Who dared to bully her cherished gem?
"Mom, that person bullied , and my brother and sister-in-law sided with them!" Erie Wilson broke down crying with grievance.
Although Sophie Wilson was indeed detestable, it was Mason Wilson and Clarissa Taylor’s attitude that made Erie Wilson most upset.
Why were they siding with an outsider?
"Mason, Clarissa, what’s going on with you two?" Old Mrs. Wilson got agitated upon hearing this and turned to question them fiercely.
"Don’t you know your sister has a heart condition? Do you want to see her die? If she dies, I can’t live either. Do you want to die too?" Old Mrs. Wilson’s words made Clarissa Taylor frown; as a daughter-in-law, it wasn’t her place to say much.
Mason Wilson directly spoke up, "Mom, do you really say that about without knowing the situation? Is that what you think of ?"
"I know you’re not like that, but others... hmph." Old Mrs. Wilson glanced aningfully at Clarissa Taylor. She had never been particularly pleased with her as a daughter-in-law.
Chaya Davis, who had been close to their family since childhood, was always better.
