Sophie Wilson curiously looked down and saw that soone had their eyes closed, breathing deeply... Are they asleep?
Sophie Wilson’s lips curled up, and she didn’t move. She just sat there, gently picking up the slightly ssy strands of hair beside his cheek and moving them aside, so they wouldn’t tickle his face and disturb his sleep.
Sophie Wilson’s hand was suddenly held by Charles Seymour, startling her: "You weren’t asleep?"
Charles Seymour opened his eyes, as if there were a light in them, making Sophie Wilson’s heart skip a beat as if it had been electrified, leaving it a bit numb.
Damn it!
Sophie Wilson roared internally; why does this guy always break the rules?
"Were you planning to wait for to wake up?" Charles Seymour held Sophie Wilson’s hand, and his palm was hot.
He’d only intended to tease her on a whim, who would have thought she’d actually let him sleep like that.
"Yeah." Sophie Wilson nodded, instinctively responding, very puzzled as to why Charles Seymour was asking such a question to which he already knew the answer.
If she didn’t let him sleep, was she supposed to wake him up?
"Silly woman." Charles Seymour stood up, gently flicking Sophie Wilson’s forehead with his long fingers, the affection in his eyes was as gentle and srizing as the rippling moonlight on a lake, making one feel intoxicated.
Sophie Wilson puffed her cheeks and covered her forehead, her beautiful almond-shaped eyes wide open, filled with confusion and bewildernt: "You’re the silly one."
Charles Seymour slightly curled his lips, rubbed her forehead, and asked hoarsely, "Does it hurt?"
He didn’t use any force.
"Humph, forget it, I’ll be the bigger person and not argue with you." Sophie Wilson waved her hand indifferently, forgiving him for his frequent bouts of eccentricity.
"Next ti, if I really fall asleep, wake up, okay?" Charles Seymour continued to gently massage Sophie Wilson’s forehead, his low, raspy voice filled with deep concern, "If you sit like that for too long, won’t your legs go numb?"
His gentle words lted Sophie Wilson’s heart like honey slowly softening under warm sunlight, a thick sweetness with the natural fragrance of honey that made her feel utterly comfortable and light.
Sophie Wilson pressed her lips together, unable to suppress the happy curve at the corners, patted him, and murmured: "Alright, it doesn’t hurt anymore, you rubbed it."
Once sure that Sophie Wilson was fine, Charles Seymour stopped, just about to say sothing when Uncle Warren approached: "Sir, a call from the community security, Ethan Seymour is at the gate wanting to co in to see you."
Charles Seymour glanced at Uncle Warren and said, "Let him in."
"Yes." Uncle Warren nodded and went downstairs to relay the ssage to security.
Charles Seymour turned to Sophie Wilson and asked, "Wanna go take a look?"
"Sure!" Sophie Wilson’s eyes lit up, she said with a big smile.
She really was a bit excited inside.
Soone coming over just ripe for her to tease—oh, this feeling, it couldn’t be more delightful.
Ethan Seymour got out of the car and glared at the villa before him. Already in a foul mood, he nearly let it slip out.
His dad was just too biased!
He didn’t mind spending all the money on that brat—be it the engagent party or the house!
Damn it!
"Dad." Jas Reed softly called, pulling Ethan Seymour back from the brink; he suppressed his anger and slightly raised his chin, saying, "Let’s go in."
