Seems like I really overthought it.
"Boss." Jim Perry called out.
Sophie Wilson directly hit pause, turned, and looked at Jim Perry.
Charles Seymour gave her a brief introduction: "Company person."
Jim Perry’s enthusiastic smile had already spread across his face, and then... it froze.
Is that, is that all for the introduction?
"Mr. Perry?" Sophie was surprised as she looked at Jim Perry; wasn’t this the person who was with Ophelia Wilson on the day Mr. Seymour proposed?
Upon hearing Sophie rember his na, Jim Perry’s frozen smile finally began to show signs of relief.
But before he even started to feel better, a sudden chill from the surroundings froze the smile on his face again, so cold!
What an intense killer aura!
Jim Perry looked up directly at his boss’s location, and sure enough, his gaze t his boss’s dark, deep eyes that were as eerie as the Nine Abyss Underworld, already filled with turmoil, bloodshed, blades, and swords.
Jim Perry didn’t doubt for a second that if Sophie weren’t sitting nearby, he’d probably be sliced into pieces right now.
The problem is... what did he do to offend his boss?
He even called to ask permission before coming to the boss’s place with the files!
As the boss, a man, he shouldn’t be so capricious!
Jim Perry was frustrated.
"You two talk." Sophie stood up, returned to her room, not interrupting Charles Seymour while they discussed business.
"Okay." Charles nodded slightly, watching Sophie leave.
Jim Perry looked at his boss’s gaze full of tenderness, and got goosebumps all over, indeed, people in love... ah, ah, ah... why is he looking at like that?
Jim Perry hadn’t finished his thoughts when his boss turned to look at him.
Look if you want; he’s used to his boss’s usual emotionless, icy stare, like a block of ice. The problem is, cold is cold, he’s adapted to that issue.
But today, why is there such a strong killer aura mixed in that icy look?
What’s this supposed to an?
Did he offend his boss?
Charles Seymour’s gaze was like a cold blade, slicing over Jim Perry again and again, and with each pass, Jim felt like he was losing another layer of skin... and another... and another...
"Boss, what did I do to you?" Jim Perry was almost ready to cry from the stare, it’s not fair to bully people like this!
He’s still diligently working overti; no praise, fine, but ntally and physically torturing him, that’s too much!
"Sophie still rembers your na." Charles Seymour’s thin lips moved, squeezing out this sentence.
Clearly a statent with no emotional fluctuation, but it made Jim Perry want to curse without caring about his image.
Is he jealous?
Why is his boss venting his jealousy on him?
Isn’t he being reasonable?
Jim Perry certainly wouldn’t be foolish enough to ask this question, because he knew that even if he did ask, the answer would be sothing that would make him furious.
Jim Perry, as Peace Group’s spokesperson, would definitely not let himself get into an awkward situation, so he smiled slightly and said, "The boss lady has a good mory."
Sure enough, the mont he said that, the icy blades tornting him vanished instantly, as if they had never appeared.
"Okay." Charles Seymour nodded slightly, not saying much more, but from his glimring eyes, it was clear how satisfied he was with the three words ’boss lady’ in Jim Perry’s sentence.
