"What does my identity have to do with him?" Charles Seymour’s blunt words infuriated Ethan Seymour, who could no longer hold back, and he shouted, "I am your father! Don’t you think it matters?"
Charles replied coldly, "You’ve already announced in the newspaper that you’ve severed ties."
This statent left Ethan Seymour stuck, his face flushed and neck thick with anger. Even so, he defiantly said, "You intentionally made sever ties with you just to clear our relationship!"
"Do you think I care about those few dirty pieces of your money?" Ethan Seymour questioned harshly, putting on an air of high integrity, seemingly above worldly concerns.
Charles asked indifferently, "If that’s the case, why are you getting so worked up?"
"You..." Ethan Seymour hadn’t expected Charles to respond so defiantly, leaving him no face.
Old Mr. Seymour beca increasingly curious. Listening to Ethan’s words, it seed that Charles’s identity wasn’t simple.
"Charles, what does he an?" Old Mr. Seymour asked.
"He found out I started a company," Charles replied calmly.
"Oh." Old Mr. Seymour glanced at Ethan and snorted disdainfully, "So what if Charles started a company? Is it worth such a fuss?"
"No composure at all, and to think you’re a mber of the Seymour Family." Old Mr. Seymour increasingly looked down on Ethan. His son was growing more and more crooked.
Ethan, not convinced, stared with wide eyes and veins bulging on his forehead, asking, "Dad, do you know what kind of company he started?"
Upon hearing this, Old Mr. Seymour felt a jolt in his heart. Could it be... Charles’s company was involved in so shady business?
However, this thought only flashed briefly through Old Mr. Seymour’s mind. He believed Charles wasn’t that kind of person.
"What? Are you saying the company he started is illegal?" Old Mr. Seymour questioned with a stern face.
If Ethan dared to falsely accuse Charles, Old Mr. Seymour would break Ethan’s leg.
"Illegal? How could his company be illegal?" Ethan seed like he wanted to laugh, but the sneer forced onto his angry face looked sinister, with a gnashing hatred, "How powerful a company, how could it be illegal? Who knows how many green lights he got from various departnts! It’s a great company, a powerful company!"
"Really? Then it’s because Charles is capable." Old Mr. Seymour said this, but his mind was racing, wondering which company in the Imperial City fit this description.
He had a hunch that the company Charles started wasn’t simple. Although it couldn’t have reached the scale of the Seymour Corporation in such a short ti, perhaps it matched the level of the Wilson Corporation.
But Old Mr. Seymour couldn’t figure out which one matched, even after thinking for a long ti.
Fortunately, Ethan didn’t leave Old Mr. Seymour guessing any longer and coldly revealed, "Yes, truly capable. I just found out today that I’m the father of the chairman of Peace Group!"
"You still know you’re Charles’s father... Whose father did you say you are?" Old Mr. Seymour paused in his reprimand, asking in disbelief.
He glanced at Ethan’s sinister face, then bowed his head to ask Charles on the other end of the line, "Charles, what’s the na of your company?"
"Peace." Charles calmly uttered the word, as if saying he had just opened a small grocery store by the roadside.
