Can’t deny it, Sophie’s quite skilled at baking cookies.
They’re really tasty.
As Sophie was driving, she ntioned to Lucy about Kai and Lucy: "...I really didn’t expect that my cousin would want to pursue Lucy."
"He’s a reliable guy." Charles comnted sincerely.
"I know, even though he seems a bit carefree on the surface, he’s actually quite responsible." Sophie knew Kai had a special role in the training camp, "I think Lucy has so interest in him too, but she’s not progressing as fast as my cousin."
"Lucy is still shy, even though her personality has changed quite a bit now, she’s still introverted. Especially after being hurt by Joshua... In strict terms, Lucy has never really been in a relationship." Sophie pondered, letting out a soft sigh, "Yeah, I need to have a good talk with my cousin. When Sophie and Charles got ho, as soon as they entered, Charles’s face darkened.
Kai was lounging on the sofa, a glass of freshly squeezed juice on the coffee table, holding a plate of cookies in his hand, eating while happily watching TV. Upon hearing the noise, he turned, cookie in mouth, waving to greet Charles and Sophie: "You’re back."
"Cousin, eat fewer cookies, dinner’s coming soon." After Sophie chided Kai, she went upstairs to change clothes. Isn’t this guy still recovering from an injury?
How could cookies be better for recovery than a proper al?
"See, my sister really cares about , , ..." Kai was halfway through his boast when he t Charles’s icy gaze that could chill to the bone, causing him to shiver and stutter, "Wh, wh, what did I do?"
He just got back, was there any need to scare him like this?
"You’ll have dinner soon, stop eating cookies." Having said that, Charles reached out and took away the plate of cookies.
Watching Charles walk away, Kai blinked twice, then beckoned the butler over.
When the butler approached, Kai lowered his voice and cautiously asked, "Uncle Warren, has your gentleman started nopause early?"
The butler couldn’t help but laugh: "Mr. Bright, if your words reach the gentleman’s ears..."
"Ahem." Kai, nervous, quickly glanced upstairs to ensure Charles was still upstairs and hadn’t co down, hurriedly asked, "Then why’s he acting so scary, like he’s about to eat soone? Who annoyed him?"
"The cookies were personally baked by Miss Wilson." The butler explained to Kai with a smile.
"No way, my sister’s cookies are this good?" Kai stared wide-eyed in disbelief. This can’t be right, can it?
He vividly rembered the dishes his cousin made... unforgettable for a lifeti, that taste... was truly sothing else.
He’d sooner wrestle with the most ferocious enemy than eat them again.
The thing is, while her cooking was terrible, her cookies were unexpectedly delicious, which was truly unbelievable.
"The gentleman loves them quite a lot. Aside from giving so to Mr. and Mrs. Wilson next door, no one else has had them." The butler made it a point to remind Kai.
