Sophie Wilson almost slamd the gas pedal to the floor, glancing up at the rearview mirror and glaring fiercely at Kai Bright.
Lucy was just too innocent; she was going to be completely dominated by Kai Bright.
"Lucy, you’re so sweet," Kai Bright said, his eyes sparkling with emotion. "I don’t know how to repay you. How about I offer myself?"
"Kai, you, you really love to joke," Lucy Wells’s face turned so red it was about to explode, and her heart pounded furiously.
She averted her gaze, not daring to look at that charming and handso smiling face of Kai Bright.
For so reason, when Kai Bright said this, a sudden image popped into her mind of him being half-naked when she changed his bandage these past few days. His beautiful and firm muscles flashed before her eyes, making her thirsty and tongue-tied.
"Don’t bully my Lucy," Sophie Wilson warned.
"How am I?" Kai Bright laughed and leaned back, subtly putting so distance between himself and Lucy Wells.
He didn’t dare push too hard, lest he scare her away, which would be disastrous.
"Lucy and I are great friends who’ve been through thick and thin together, right, Lucy?" Kai Bright said, giving Lucy a mischievous wink. That hint of cuteness in his embrace was irresistible.
"Mm," Lucy Wells nodded, feeling a little happy inside.
Sophie Wilson sighed helplessly in her heart. It seed her Lucy was being carried off by a big bad wolf.
However, Lucy herself probably wasn’t aware of it yet.
Sophie Wilson dropped Lucy Wells at ho, and Kai Bright even volunteered to carry Lucy’s luggage upstairs, scoring points with Lucy’s grandmother before finally leaving.
In the car, Sophie Wilson asked, "So, cousin, could it be that you’ve taken a liking to my Lucy?"
"Mm, I have," Kai Bright admitted openly to his cousin, "Lucy’s beautiful and gentle. The key is, she’s resilient."
When Kai Bright ntioned Lucy Wells, he couldn’t help but smile broadly.
Even though she’s afraid of his injuries, she stays remarkably calm when handling them.
A girl who is gentle but strong is exactly his type.
"If you want to pursue Lucy, do it properly. If you’re indecisive... hmph, I’ll have my Mr. Seymour take care of you!" Sophie Wilson threatened.
"Hey..." Kai Bright slumped onto the car seat, looking "mournfully" at Sophie Wilson. "Aren’t you my cousin? Why are you siding with outsiders?"
"If you turn out to be a jerk, who cares if you’re related to ? I’ll squash you," Sophie Wilson snorted, speaking rcilessly.
"Only Charles Seymour can handle you," Kai Bright shuddered, saying fearfully.
"Exactly, it ans my Mr. Seymour has good taste," Sophie Wilson boasted proudly, "Not everyone has the ability to appreciate ."
"Sis... don’t you think your face skin is getting thicker lately?" Kai Bright held his forehead, "lanting."
"I don’t think so, my Mr. Seymour likes it," Sophie Wilson shalessly replied, throwing a bowl of dog food back in Kai Bright’s face.
Kai Bright: "..."
He was now kind of missing his gentle Lucy.
Back ho, Kai Bright went to rest. Sophie Wilson changed her clothes and baked so cookies and small cakes. Then, checking the ti, she left to pick up Charles Seymour from work.
Charles Seymour sat in the passenger seat, not only eating cookies himself but also occasionally feeding one to Sophie Wilson.
