Hayley Cole, who had quite a good impression of Jas Reed, would never have imagined that the smile curling on Jas Reed’s lips as he drove was so sinister, with a gleam of calculation in his eyes.
As long as he found Hayley Cole’s soft spot, he could get close to her.
Outsiders only saw Hayley Cole as arrogant and unreasonable, but he saw a child stuck in rebellion, never having outgrown adolescence.
Hayley Cole’s mother married her stepfather, Chairman Cole, but she had never really accepted her stepfather and his children, always feeling she had lost motherly love.
She would always resort to such willful mischief to attract the attention of her stepfamily, wanting them to care more about her.
Unfortunately, she used the wrong thod. Chairman Cole was a very proper person. Initially, when Hayley acted out, he would discipline her a few tis, but in the end, for reasons unknown, it just fell by the wayside.
It was probably due to her mother’s influence.
However, for Jas Reed, that didn’t matter. He didn’t need to know the reason; he just needed to know how to get close to Hayley Cole, how to make her have a good impression of him.
Of course, he knew Hayley Cole was investigating him. He was deliberately playing this ga of hard-to-get.
Watching as this proud little prey gradually walked into his trap, to be captured by him... that would be his ti to rise.
What was so Peace Group that Charles Seymour had?
As long as he got connected with Hayley Cole, and had Chairman Cole as a great backer... his path to wealth would be smooth in the future.
Jas Reed’s self-satisfied smile never wavered. He was indeed too smart, always finding a way.
Under his leadership, the Seymour Corporation would definitely grow larger. Those short-sighted board mbers still insisted on wanting Charles Seymour back, not realizing who could really lead Seymour Corporation to greater heights.
Just after parking the car, Jas Reed’s phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, he frowned with disdain, but once he answered, his voice was tender as water, "Ophelia, are you done with work?"
"Jas, I have good news for you, I’m about to land an endorsent!" Ophelia Wilson’s excited voice ca over, continuously talking about how great the endorsent was.
"Which one is it?" Jas Reed said happily, "The luxury brand’s perfu, they really are an international big na, Ophelia, you’re amazing."
"Not yet, it’s just a prospect for now, no agreent signed yet, but Brother Fletcher will talk to them. It’s practically a sure thing." Ophelia Wilson had absolute faith in Albert Fletcher’s ability, believing that if he wanted to secure it, nothing could stop him.
"Jas, my fa is growing. I can be a spokesperson for your company." Ophelia said with a smile, "I have a lot of fans who can definitely help you."
"Yes, you will definitely help . I’ve always known that having you is my luck." Jas Reed spoke affectionate words, but there was no warmth in his eyes, only cold sarcasm and indifference.
The two talked for a while; Ophelia Wilson was so elated by Jas Reed’s sweet words that by the ti she hung up the phone, her cheeks were flushed.
Ophelia patted her cheeks, took a deep breath, and then burst into laughter herself.
Having been in a relationship with Jas for so many years, it still felt like the sweet early days; just hearing his voice and his words made her heart race and cheeks blush.
