"What’s so good about Sophie Wilson?" Hayley Cole sneered, saying to the people around her, "Look at the Wilson Clan’s daughters, each one is ruthless."
"Not to ntion others, take Ophelia Wilson as an example." Hayley Cole couldn’t stand Ophelia Wilson, and her friends naturally knew this, chiming in and cursing Ophelia Wilson together.
"Jas was so good to Ophelia Wilson, but Ophelia is just a viper!"
"Charles Seymour ended up with Sophie Wilson, he’ll be dood in the future."
Hayley Cole listened to these words, feeling smug as she looked at Jas Reed beside her. She knew Jas hadn’t been happy these days, so she deliberately invited him out to relax.
"I’ll be right back." Jas Reed said to Hayley Cole, then got up and left the private room.
The few people in the room exchanged glances, a bit worried, saying, "Did we say sothing wrong?"
All of them were trying to flatter Jas Reed because Hayley Cole showed interest in him.
Currently, the internet is full of people cursing Jas Reed as a treacherous and deceitful heartbreaker.
Back when he was "deeply in love" with Ophelia Wilson, many people envied them. Now, just as many people are cursing him, calling him hypocritical, shaless, and greedy.
"It’s okay, I’ll go check on him." After saying this, Hayley Cole left the room.
One person opened the door slightly, making sure Hayley Cole and Jas had walked far away, and then said, "Jas Reed really thinks he’s sothing special, throwing a tantrum here!"
"Just now, when I was saying those flattering words, I felt utterly nauseated."
All of them were insincere in flattering Jas Reed. If it wasn’t for wanting to please Hayley Cole, would they go to such lengths?
"What is Hayley Cole thinking, anyway? How did she end up fancying Jas Reed?"
"Whatever she’s thinking, as long as we keep her happy, that’s all that matters."
After exchanging knowing glances, the people in the room laughed.
——
"Jas." Hayley Cole found Jas Reed on the balcony and asked worriedly, "Are you upset? Should we go sowhere else?"
"No... it’s just, hearing them talk like that about Ophelia, it made uncomfortable." Jas Reed spoke with anguish, "She made so mistakes, maybe she misunderstood a bit, but I believe she’s still a good girl."
"Yes, yes, she is a good girl." Hayley Cole ntally rolled her eyes in disdain, yet outwardly she agreed with Jas Reed, "Alright then, let’s go back and eat."
"Okay." Jas Reed nodded in response.
After dinner, Jas Reed drove Hayley Cole back.
"Jas, where shall we go tomorrow?" Hayley Cole asked jovially. Recently, since Jas doesn’t have to go to work, she could invite him out every day.
As long as she saw Jas Reed, she felt happy, a joy she’d never experienced in all these years.
"Tomorrow, I’m planning to go see if there’s anything I can do." Jas Reed said.
"Aren’t you taking a temporary break now?" Hayley Cole spoke to Jas Reed gently, not directly ntioning he had been kicked out of Seymour Corporation.
"But I can’t just idle around all day. I need to see if there’s any business I can start." Jas Reed said apologetically to Hayley Cole, "I might not be able to accompany you for a while."
"Well... okay..." Hayley Cole reluctantly got out of the car, looking back every few steps as she walked inside.
Jas Reed watched until she disappeared from view, then drove away.
His bait had been laid out for quite so ti; it might finally start to show so results.
