Kai Bright stared at his now darkened phone, frowning.
Indeed, how could he have been so worried about his parents eting Lucy’s family and forgotten such an important thing?
His parents have been busy with the company abroad and couldn’t possibly know about his relationship from him. Soone must be pulling strings behind the scenes.
He had lost his vigilance because of the relationship, damn it!
Kai Bright smacked his head hard. Fortunately, Charles Seymour reminded him.
Otherwise, if a major mistake was made during a mission in the future, it wouldn’t matter if he got into trouble, but if it impacted the mission and implicated his teammates, it would truly be unforgivable!
It seems his skills are still not up to par.
Thinking of this, Kai Bright pressed a button and sent a text to Charles Seymour: "Thanks."
He thought for a mont and quickly followed up with another: "You’re still the best, always maintaining such a peak state."
"It’s easier to see things clearly from the outside." Charles Seymour’s reply ca quickly, "I don’t need to maintain a peak state, even if there are oversights, Sophie will fill the gaps for ."
Kai Bright held his phone, rolling his eyes. Showing off their love even through a text at night, can we still be friends like this?

His Lucy is gentle and lovely, and that’s what he likes. Sophie’s scheming nature can be left for Charles to enjoy. Average people can’t handle soone like Sophie.

"There shouldn’t be any mistakes with our proposal now, right?" Sophie Wilson asked Edward Palr and Lucy Wells. They had checked the data in the proposal multiple tis already. It was the most reasonable, and the limit where they could still make a profit.
Any lower, and there wouldn’t be much to gain.
But if they win the bid, the benefits in the future would be imnse and long-lasting, so they’ve already ceded so profit.
"I think it’s good." Edward Palr said and looked at Lucy Wells, who also nodded.
"Great!" Sophie Wilson cheered, "Finally done, now we just wait for the day!"
Edward Palr looked amused at Sophie Wilson. It felt like the liberation after finishing college entrance exams, making him unable to hold back his laughter.

After Edward Palr finished organizing his things and left Sophie Wilson’s office, Sophie called after Lucy Wells: "Lucy, you don’t seem quite well. Did sothing happen?"
"Hmm..." Lucy Wells bit her lip, speaking uneasily, "Kai said his parents are coming back to the country and want both families to et."
"Uh?" Sophie Wilson hadn’t expected this, "Isn’t this a bit fast?"
Her brother and Lucy haven’t been dating for very long; it’s not ti for both sets of parents to et yet. eting individually is fine, but this looks like her aunt and uncle are disagreeing with Lucy.
"What did my brother say?" Sophie Wilson, also unsure, asked.
"He said it’s just a family al, no big deal." Lucy Wells replied.
