However, despite her words, she still felt very uneasy inside.
"Sophie, do you know anything about your aunt and uncle?" Lucy Wells decided it would be better to ask around a bit.
Kai Bright’s family background was different from hers, far better in terms of family conditions. If they didn’t approve of their relationship, she felt it would be understandable.
But... why involve her own family?
She could handle a gentle refusal or so awkward words, but she didn’t want her mom and grandmother to bear it.
"To be honest, I’ve never really seen them," Sophie Wilson shook her head and said, "My aunt and uncle are workaholics, often traveling all over the world to expand their business."
"They’re not the type to value money too much; they just love to work. You understand what I an? They enjoy that busy feeling. I don’t think they’ll be too bad."
Sophie Wilson scratched her head and said, "Judging by how my brother is, you can probably guess what his parents are like; they’re not the type to look down on others."
This was sothing she really had no experience with.
If she’d known, she would have asked her mom about it.
"Kai also told not to worry," Lucy Wells said with an embarrassed smile, "but I’m still anxious. I’m really afraid... Afraid of those TV drama situations happening."
"That definitely won’t happen," Sophie Wilson could guarantee this much, "My aunt and uncle wouldn’t do such condescending things. Here’s what I’ll do: I’ll go ho and ask my mom, and then I’ll call you."
"Okay, Sophie, I’d appreciate that." Lucy Wells felt a bit more reassured.
Sophie Wilson didn’t delay, since all the proposal paperwork was finished and she had nothing else at the company, she went straight to Clarissa Taylor’s gallery, which surprised Clarissa Taylor: "Sophie, what brings you here?"

She really didn’t want Lucy to get hurt.
"Alright, wait here, I’ll call your aunt and ask." Clarissa Taylor checked the ti; it was still morning, and it should be evening over there, just the right ti.
Sophie Wilson waited by the side, and after a short while, Clarissa Taylor finished her inquiry and said with a smile, "I asked indirectly, and it doesn’t seem like your aunt has any objections, so they probably don’t want to break them up."
"Not wanting to break them up doesn’t an they’re happily agreeing," Sophie Wilson pouted. This was really difficult, but her mom couldn’t directly ask either.
Asking like that would leave a bad impression of Lucy on her aunt.
Never mind, she’d tell Lucy what she found out first.
"...That’s all my mom found out," Sophie Wilson said apologetically, "Lucy, I’m sorry, I couldn’t find out much."
"That’s already really good," Lucy Wells took a long breath and said with a smile, "Sophie, thank you. As long as they don’t want to break us up or embarrass my mom and grandma, that’s good enough."
