Kai Bright maintained his composure, acting as if he hadn’t noticed, leading Lucy Wells and them inside, then closing the door to the private room.

Father ‌Bright‌ and Mother ‌Bright‌ stood up to greet them, "Old Mrs. Wells, Mrs. Wells..."

Lucy Wells noticed the attitude of Father ‌Bright‌ and Mother ‌Bright‌, and sothing seed...a bit off.

In the private room opposite Kai Bright’s, the door remained slightly ajar, and inside, Sophie Lee was continuously observing the situation across.

Each passing second felt like torture to her.

Why aren’t they coming out yet?

In such situations, shouldn’t they co out quickly?

With Lucy Wells’ background, how could she match up to Young Master ‌Bright‌.

Young Master ‌Bright‌ should be with her.

Sophie Lee’s heart felt like it was being tornted repeatedly on a hot iron plate, driving her nearly insane with anxiety, when finally, the door of the opposite private room opened.

Lucy Wells was the first to erge, looking sowhat dazed, followed by Father ‌Bright‌ and Mother ‌Bright‌ accompanying Old Mrs. Wells and Emma Wells.

Mother ‌Bright‌ said, "‌Kai‌, go start the car."

"Okay," Kai Bright responded, pulling Lucy Wells along.

Lucy Wells seed lost in thought, her whole deanor dazed, as she was led away by Kai Bright.

Sophie Lee felt a surge of joy; indeed, it worked!

She had said, how could the ‌Bright‌ family accept a woman with Lucy Wells’ background?

"Uncle ‌Bright‌, Aunt ‌Bright‌," Sophie Lee greeted eagerly when she saw Kai Bright wasn’t present, wanting to make the Wells won understand that only she was worthy of Young Master ‌Bright‌.

Their family’s daughters should step aside.

"Sophie," Mother ‌Bright‌ greeted warmly, "We really appreciate you informing us about our ‌Kai‌’s matters."

"I was worried Young Master ‌Bright‌ might be deceived," Sophie Lee said with evident hostility towards Lucy Wells, not even bothering to hide her contempt. Soone like Lucy should find a man of her own level to marry instead of dreaming of marrying Young Master ‌Bright‌.

Did Lucy Wells really think she was Cinderella, able to marry a prince?

"We’re often away, but it’s reassuring to know that ‌Kai‌ has friends like you in the Imperial City," Mother ‌Bright‌ said with a smile.

Just then, Father ‌Bright‌’s phone rang, and he reminded Mother ‌Bright‌, "‌Kai‌’s car is at the entrance."

"Alright," Mother ‌Bright‌ replied, then said to Sophie Lee, "Well, Miss Lee, we’ll be off now."

"Aunt ‌Bright‌, I’m leaving too, we can go together," Sophie Lee insisted, standing next to Mother ‌Bright‌, and glancing triumphantly at the equally strange-looking Old Mrs. Wells and Emma Wells.

Look at how poorly dressed they are; do they deserve to stand with them?

Such an eyesore!

Reaching the restaurant entrance, Kai Bright saw Sophie Lee and asked, "Sophie, what are you doing here?"

"Oh, just happened to run into you," Sophie Lee’s heart raced and her face flushed upon seeing Kai Bright. "Young Master ‌Bright‌, it’s so late, could you give a ride ho?"

Kai Bright smirked, straightforwardly tossing out two words, "Nope."

Sophie Lee’s expression changed, asking aggrievedly, "Why?"

"Because I have to take my fiancée and her family ho," Kai Bright replied with a smug smile. If his ears weren’t in the way, his grin could’ve reached the back of his head.

As he spoke, Kai Bright sweetly took Lucy Wells’ hand, as proud as can be.

"Fi-fiancée?" Sophie Lee was stunned by the term, "What fiancée?"
