The provincial city has beco cleaner and more prosperous.

After having lunch, Gu Muran took the Old Clan Leader and others to Caozheng Hall.

This Chinese Herbal dicine Store is quite large, estimated to be about three to four hundred square ters, decorated in a classical style.

A plaque with three characters written in brush hangs above.

It reads Caozheng Hall.

It seems to have been here for a long ti, with many people coming and going; it should be an old store.

Gu Qiaoqiao could vaguely sll the scent of herbs at the entrance.

They weren’t here to buy dicine, so there was no need for pleasantries.

Besides, Gu Muran was the angriest at this mont. How could these people deceive him?

He couldn’t afford it, but if they didn’t want to sell to him, they shouldn’t have. Why treat him like that? He couldn’t understand, so Gu Muran was the first to rush in.

Don’t be deceived by the Old Clan Leader’s age; he moved swiftly and was the second to enter.

Gu Qiaoqiao followed, as did the others.

Seeing so many people co in at once, the shopkeeper and clerks were stunned. They exchanged looks, being seasoned in business, and could easily tell these weren’t custors.

Clearly, they were here to cause trouble.

The in-store doctor behind the counter pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and frowned, saying, "What do you want? How can you just storm in like that? This isn’t a store; it’s a pharmacy..."

"Where’s your boss?" Gu Muran asked hostilely.

"Our boss is out on business. If you want to see him, co back tomorrow," the doctor replied, suppressing his anger.

Gu Muran gave a cold look at the three in front of him, the clerks, and the in-store doctor, then said, "I know your boss is here. Tell him not to hide. I ca back alive to ask him one question."

Then the Old Clan Leader also said in a deep voice, "I am the village chief and Clan Leader of Peach Blossom Valley, and today I also want to ask your boss sothing."

Upon hearing the words Peach Blossom Valley, the clerks’ reactions changed dramatically.

They exchanged glances and for a mont, said nothing.

Gu Qiaoqiao thought for a mont and calmly reminded, "Sir, I think it would be best if you temporarily closed the store. If sothing happens that causes a bad influence, don’t bla us..."

Gu Qiaoqiao didn’t want this to escalate before the matter was clarified, nor did she want others to watch the commotion.

Besides, it wasn’t as if this pharmacy was selling fake dicines; letting others know wouldn’t be of much significance.

The in-store doctor was taken aback by this and signaled to one of the younger clerks with his eyes. The junior clerk then went outside and hung a temporarily closed sign.

Then they politely asked a few custors who were there for the excitent to leave, and securely closed the door. Evidently, these clerks knew so of the inside story.

However, the person who took Gu Muran to the cave that day wasn’t there. Gu Muran only had so impression of the old man in a white traditional Tang suit.

The other three clerks didn’t leave a deep impression.

During his last visit, it was the owner and a young man who t him.

And at that mont, the indigo door curtain was lifted.

Gu Muran’s face darkened imdiately.

Speak of the devil.

He recognized both the individuals, the old and the young, who had negotiated with him.

Gu Muran stood in front of the old man and gritted his teeth, asking, "Do you still rember ?"

The old man squinted his eyes without speaking, but his face had already darkened.
