Wu Ying’s question didn’t fluster Lin Fjun. He had read the company’s profile when he submitted his resu and had already prepared so ideas. "To be honest, I use Weibo, but I don’t know it in depth. From what I do know, Weibo has massive user traffic, which makes it an excellent platform for advertising. For the company’s bloggers to monetize, they could run relevant ads to collect advertising fees, promote certain products for other companies, or even represent products the company has agency over..."
When it ca to his area of expertise, it was as if Lin Fjun had opened the floodgates. He rattled off a long list of his insights, which not only surprised Wu Yun but also earned his reluctant approval.
"Second question, why are you looking to switch jobs?" Wu Yun asked.
"My last company’s funding dried up, and they were behind on paying salaries," Lin Fjun replied without hesitation.
The three of them jotted down notes in their notebooks. Jiang Xinyi then said, "Now, let’s talk about what you’re looking for. Feel free to ask about anything, including salary and benefits."
Lin Fjun wasn’t intimidated. "I’d like to ask about the salary for the position I’m applying for."
Wu Ying answered, "It’s the sa as what was in the job posting. The salary is 8,000, with commission, one day off per week, full social insurance and housing fund, and a lunch allowance."
"What’s the commission rate?" Lin Fjun got to the heart of the matter.
"The commission rate hasn’t been decided yet. We’ll hold a eting with everyone to discuss it later. We definitely won’t disappoint you!" Wu Ying’s answer was what Lin Fjun expected. After all, many companies operated this way, reserving the final say for themselves.
"Any other questions?"
"Yes. How many people are in the company right now?" Lin Fjun asked.
"Right now, just the three of us. We founded the company as partners and only started recruiting for departnt head positions today," Jiang Xinyi replied.
...
"That concludes the interview. Please go ho and wait for our call. You’ll have an answer by tomorrow morning at the latest."
After seeing Lin Fjun out, Jiang Xinyi went back to the conference room to call in the second interviewee, Wang Ying.
...........
They interviewed several more people for positions in finance, HR and administration, and marketing. According to Wu Yun’s Detection Glasses, they each only had one Skill at Mastery level, while the rest were Proficient.
The three of them didn’t make any decisions on the spot, planning to discuss it further when they got ho that evening.
When Cui Baomin followed Jiang Xinyi into the office, Wu Yun’s eyes lit up behind his glasses.
Na: Cui Baomin
Height: 180
Appearance: 75
Figure: 70
Rating: 80 (Has a habit of regular exercise, is in good health)
Skills:
Oratory Skill: Mastery
Team Managent: Mastery
Market Insight: Mastery
.......
Affinity: 10
Loyalty: ?
’This is the first person I’ve seen today with three Skills at Mastery level.’ Comparing this with Cui Baomin’s resu, Wu Yun ford a clear picture of him.
Cui Baomin looked at the three people in front of him, all younger than he was. Noticing the luxury brands Wu Yun was wearing, he concluded that this was another case of so rich kid starting a business. ’Working for a rich kid has its pros and cons,’ he thought.
’The pro is that they won’t be short on cash. You can tell just by looking at this work environnt; no need to cram into a tiny, rundown office. The con is that a rich kid with too much money might just treat this as a ga.’
Cui Baomin’s Affinity 10, 10. Affinity: 30
Wu Yun was a bit puzzled, but then he heard Wu Ying’s question.
.................
After interviewing a few more people, the three of them finally t the candidate for the Head of Talent Managent position.
Na: Cao Lu
Height: 160cm
Appearance: 80
Figure: 79
Rating: 70 (Healthy, mother of one child.)
Skills:
Entertainnt Agent: Mastery
Agent Negotiation: Mastery
Team Managent: Mastery
......
Affinity: 50
Loyalty: ?
’Another talent with three Mastery skills.’ Wu Yun was also starting to figure out the potential relationship between Affinity and Loyalty. The higher the initial Affinity, the easier it would be to recruit them.
"Hello everyone, my na is Cao Lu!" Cao Lu introduced herself with a natural and poised deanor.
"Please, have a seat," Wu Yun said, gesturing to the chair in front of them. "Ms. Cao, I hope you don’t mind calling you that. I’ve read your resu. May I ask why you’re no longer pursuing a career in the entertainnt industry?"
Cao Lu wore an expression that said ’I knew you’d ask that.’ "Hello, Manager. I don’t want to continue in the entertainnt industry because being an agent is exhausting and stressful. Sotis, all your hard work isn’t appreciated. On top of that, I was constantly traveling. So now, I’m looking for a relatively stable job to take care of my child."
"Then what are your thoughts on Weibo, its bloggers, and the future developnt of the internet?" Wu Yun asked.
"I’ve dealt with Weibo quite a lot in the past, so I know a fair bit. If a blogger has enough fans, they can earn no less than a third-tier celebrity. Advertising, writing advertorials, and helping celebrities with promotions are all major avenues for monetization.
"As for the future of the internet, I believe follower counts will be extrely important, not just on Weibo but on other platforms as well. Traffic is going to have imnse value!"
Wu Yun clapped his hands. "Sister Lu, that’s very insightful. I was wondering, do you have any requirents regarding salary and benefits?"
"The monthly salary can’t be lower than 8,000. I’ll also want a cut of the bloggers’ future commissions, but that’s sothing we can negotiate with the company. The most important things for are the holidays and work hours..."
It was almost five o’clock by the ti the three of them finished interviewing all the candidates.
Wu Yun stretched, then reached out to stroke both of the won’s hair. "So, how did the interviews go? I think we saw so real talent today."
"Reject the first one, Lin Fjun!" Jiang Xinyi said imdiately.
"Why?" Wu Yun and Wu Ying asked in unison.
"There was sothing dirty in his eyes. The way he looked at when he was registering at the front desk was a little off. On top of that, on the way from the conference room, I saw in a glass reflection that he was staring at my ass the whole ti! He’s a total pervert, and I don’t like it!" Jiang Xinyi said with a frown.
Wu Yun reached out and gave Jiang Xinyi’s bottom a squeeze, laughing. "That just proves how charming Sister Xinyi is! Alright, let’s eliminate Lin Fjun. We only need to hire one head for the marketing departnt in the early stages anyway. I think Cui Baomin is a good choice, even though he’s younger than the other candidates."
Wu Yun recomnded Cui Baomin, the one with three Mastery Skills, and both won unanimously agreed.
After discussing for a little while longer, they decided on a 30-year-old, plain-looking woman nad Luo Qian for the position of Finance Director. She also had three Skills at Mastery level.
For the Head of HR and Administration, they chose a 33-year-old veteran HR professional nad Zeng Yanhong. Her Managent and HR Skills were at Mastery level, while her Administration Skill was Proficient.
For the Head of Talent Managent, Wu Yun definitively chose Cao Lu. He figured Cao Lu would have a lot to talk about with the two won.
After finalizing their choices, Wu Yun realized that most of the people they had hired today were won. It wasn’t surprising, though. The fields of finance, talent managent, and HR were already predominantly female.
Wu Yun said to Wu Ying, "Sister Ying, after dinner tonight, give them a call. Also, print out the employnt contracts. Have them co in tomorrow to sign."
"They can start work this Monday and help us with recruiting more staff and purchasing office supplies and equipnt."
