Chapter 432: Chapter 302: The Wonderful thod
So, do chickens actually have athlete’s foot or not?
The answer isn’t important.
Just as Wu Xiaoqi blurted out the question, he imdiately regretted it.
Because Pang Jiao’s action of nibbling on chicken feet slowed down a beat.
That beat was so conspicuous that Wu Xiaoqi felt as if his own heartbeat had slowed as well.
Ti and space around him seed to have stopped, and with Pang Jiao’s mouth cramd with fragnted chicken feet bones, Wu Xiaoqi could see the stark white bones.
And also, Pang Jiao’s man-eating gaze shifting toward him.
How he wished that ti could flow backward.
He once had the chance to sleep well, right before him, but he didn’t cherish it.
If heaven gave him another chance, Wu Xiaoqi swore that he would never utter those words to this valiant woman.
If there was a ti limit, he would keep silent for the rest of his life.
Unfortunately, life is a ga that cannot be rewound, just like the three-point shots that Wu Xiaoqi took on the basketball court.
No regrets after the ball is released.
Wu Xiaoqi’s thoughts ultimately couldn’t outrun ti, as Pang Jiao’s enormous head turned toward him.
Pang Jiao swallowed the chicken feet in her mouth and, in a fury, slamd her phone down on the table.
“Boom!” A loud noise reverberated in all directions.
The shockwave even pushed Wu Xiaoqi’s hair back.
The students sitting close by were almost scared enough to jump up!
“Ah!” Yu Wen and Jiang Yanan scread out, fragile and helpless, making Dong Qingfeng’s heart soften.
Even Chen Qian at the very front, his hand holding the pen, trembled slightly.
Wu Xiaoqi watched as a tiny crack ford on the surface of the sturdy wooden desk – it wasn’t just a crack but a soon-to-erupt abyss.
He held onto his basketball even more tightly, as only that could bring so comfort.
Class Monitor Huang Zhongfei stood up from the lectern and asked with a deep breath,
“Pang Jiao, what’s wrong?”
Pang Jiao glared at Wu Xiaoqi, “He just started trouble with !”
Huang Zhongfei inquired, “What kind of trouble?”
“As I was eating chicken feet, he asked if the chicken had athlete’s foot. Class Monitor, tell if I should slap him?” Pang Jiao stood her ground, defiant as ever.
Pang Jiao’s words, as expected, stirred up a buzz of whispers in the class.
Wang Longlong gasped, “Today Xiao Qi is really brave, actually daring to provoke Pang Jiao.”
Guo Kunnan comnted, “Indeed, he’s usually so quiet in front of Pang Jiao – doesn’t dare to fart.”
Everyone still rembered when Wu Xiaoqi first transferred to Class 8 – how arrogant he was, smacking his basketball around in the back rows, muffling the air and garnering complaints.
Since he beca desk mates with Pang Jiao, Wu Xiaoqi had toned it down a lot.
“An evil person needs another evil person to grind him down,” Guo Kunnan sighed.
Song Sheng at Wu Xiaoqi’s side was studying, previously engrossed in analyzing a difficult math problem, when suddenly disturbed by Pang Jiao’s outburst, leaving him hanging mid-thought.
Song Sheng wasn’t one to lose temper lightly. Exiting study mode, he spoke irritably,
“Just because soone said sothing about you, do you need to get so angry?”
“Even the chicken didn’t complain about your bad breath, yet you worry it might have athlete’s foot?”
His entrance was an outright personal attack.
Well cursed! Wu Xiaoqi felt a wave of relief – at that mont, he even thought of Song Sheng as a brother.
Pang Jiao, so furious, pointed at Song Sheng and cursed, “You dead fat pig!”
Song Sheng’s face instantly changed.
Zhang Yifei sprang up, turning the tables, “Song Sheng, didn’t my Sister Jiao just say one thing to you?”
“Look at your face, as if you’ve been digging coal.”
“How can a big man lack so much magnanimity?”
After speaking, Zhang Yifei’s square face bead with smugness, a showcase of the art of language. Her sisters would surely look at her with new respect.
Song Sheng, first scolded by Pang Jiao and then taunted by Zhang Yifei, was fuming inside.
Who was he? He was Ba Wang Song Sheng!
Staring at Pang Jiao’s massive body, he retorted, “You’re the fat pig, the dead fat pig; you weigh more than I do!”
For Pang Jiao, nothing was more taboo than ntioning her weight. She retorted imdiately, “Your mother’s fart, I’m not heavier than you!”
Song Sheng insisted, “You’re heavier than I am!”
Pang Jiao countered, “You’re heavy, you’re heavy, you’re heavy!”
The two resud their long-distance verbal barrage over Wu Xiaoqi’s head.
Finding himself caught in the middle, like the cream in a sandwich cookie, Wu Xiaoqi suddenly realized, ‘Am I out of the woods?’
As Song Sheng and Pang Jiao’s cursing intensified, Zhang Yifei joined in from ti to ti, and the classroom was filled with their loud, quarrelso voices.
Class Monitor Huang Zhongfei stood helplessly at the lectern, unable to intervene, his voice already drowned out.
In the south end of the class, Bai Yuxia silently pulled out her earphones, elegantly unwinding them and inserting them with poise to continue reading her book.
Her desk mate, Chen Siyu, lacked her enlightennt and was utterly absorbed in watching the fiery exchange.
Soone in the back row tried to fish in troubled waters, shouting, “Start fighting, start fighting!”
“A gentleman resorts to hands, not words!”
Immune to distractions, Song Sheng and Pang Jiao’s argunt miraculously stayed on track, revolving around obesity.
Then, Cui Yu’s cosmos burst forth as he blurted out,
“I know who’s heavier!”
With that statent, Song Sheng, Pang Jiao, and Zhang Yifei all simultaneously turned to look at him.
The class’s focus converged on Cui Yu.
Cui Yu sensed that it was his ti to perform; he straightened his collar and hair before clearing his throat, putting on a show.
Pang Jiao glowered at him fiercely, “Cui Yu, if you don’t give an explanation today, I’ll tear you to pieces!”
Having clashed with Pang Jiao before and with that experience under his belt, Cui Yu wasn’t so fearful, and if he dared to act, it ant he was fairly confident.
He called out, “Yu Zhu, Yu Zhu, where’s your scale? Hurry up and weigh them!”
Huang Yuzhu, a character in Class 8, had all sorts of things, and a small scale, as per Cui Yu’s expectation, was certainly not out of reach.
