Watched as the convoy disappeared from sight.
Wei Jun didn’t return to the house.
He stood quietly, gazing into the distance. Their ho was well-situated high atop a small hill, offering expansive views. Unlike the old dirt roads, the cent highways now wound their way through the mountains.
"How wonderful."
A long pause.
Two words escaped Wei Jun’s lips.
"What’s so wonderful?" his wife asked curiously.
Wei Jun smiled and held his wife’s hand, saying, "This scenery, these things, and the people." He had actually wanted to say that simply being alive felt wonderful, and that having older family mbers who cared for him felt wonderful too, but the words morphed as they left his mouth.
For those who are married,
this is a basic skill.
Indeed.
A bright smile spread across Wei Jun’s wife’s face.
"Let’s head back. Next month, we’ll go to Delin Province for a trip too," Wei Jun said as he guided his wife toward their house.
"Is the opening happening soon?"
Wei Jun replied, "Just soft opening."
Last year.
He had also bought up large sections of land and built hotels and resorts there.
One side featured a beach, while the other hugged the coastline. Because of the large area covered, construction was still incomplete. Originally owning a travel company, he didn’t have to worry about not drawing in visitors.
With such a pri location,
several international capital investors wanted to buy land from him.
Offered double the price, even more.
But unfortunately,
Wei Jun never planned to sell, viewing this venture as his life’s work. Although it wasn’t attracting many people at the mont, he firmly believed that when Delin Province’s entire tourism zone opened up, it would beco a major travel hotspot.
Not to ntion.
Just from the influx of people seeking treatnt, the place would pack out.
Regrettably though.
Developing comrcial real estate still faced restrictions. It wasn’t entirely forbidden, but building generic, featureless structures wasn’t allowed. If developers dread of throwing up monotonous apartnt blocks to make quick cash—sorry, it wouldn’t get approved.
Comprehensive tourism.
This was Ling’s vision for the region.
Unappealing architecture was strictly prohibited.
This forced those awarded hotel projects in Delin Province to brainstorm unique designs. Developers spent considerable effort and money hiring renowned international architectural firms to design their buildings.
For a while.
Orders flooded in.
The designers were delighted. For them, it wasn’t just about the money—it was deeply satisfying to see their ideas co to life.
...
Xin-Nei Expressway.
The convoy led by "March" sped down the overtaking lane. The highway was eight lanes wide in both directions, spacious and impressive—a standardized feature for the major expressways here, with the Myanmar Economic Zone receiving priority coverage.
Currently.
Thanks to significant investnts,
this highway officially opened at the end of last year.
Cut through mountains.
Spanned rivers with bridges.
Construction proceeded on multiple fronts simultaneously,
reducing travel ti between Xin’an City and Naypyidaw by two and a half hours. This estimation assud maximum speed limits; otherwise, driving at 20 kiloters per hour would an not arriving until the next day.
In the car.
Tang Qing alternated between gazing out the window and jotting sketches and notes. With the window slightly lowered, a cool breeze drifted in, making one naturally drowsy after lunch—Lin Jiaxue was already dozing off.
Tang Qing, on the other hand, was brimming with energy.
Enjoying the breeze.
Suddenly, the sound of commotion reached him.
"It’s Tang Qing."
"It’s really Tang Qing."
"So lucky—traveling and running into him."
"Superstar!"
"..."
Hearing the voices,
Tang Qing glanced up.
It was a tour bus with the logo "All Peaks Travel" emblazoned across it. Inside, a group of young n and won had their eyes glued to him, many waving excitedly. With just a quick scan, it was clear they were all young, which explained their exuberance.
In an instant,
Tang Qing picked up information about the bus.
A graduation trip?
Interesting.
Turns out this bus was carrying students from the Tourism and Culture Academy of Yunnan Province. Nearing graduation, and with few classes left in their final sester of their fourth year, these tourism managent majors had organized this trip as part of their plans.
Naturally, this destination was their first choice.
After all, they had already traveled extensively within Yunnan Province.
If a spot could be called the hottest route recently, this destination was it. Plus, considering so might work in this region after graduating, it was a good opportunity to familiarize themselves in advance.
Given their enthusiasm,
Tang Qing couldn’t just ignore them. He responded by smiling and waving back as a greeting.
"Tang Qing just smiled at !"
"I need to get a photo—move aside!"
"..."
"Be careful—don’t push!" the tour guide shouted.
"I got it—I got the shot, haha!"
"..."
In less than a minute,
Tang Qing’s car had sped far ahead.
"Driver, hurry and catch up!"
"Step on the gas!"
"He’s going to disappear from view!"
The driver was speechless.
Catch up?
It’s not like we have the kind of car that could keep up anyway. And even if we did catch up, what would you do—not much conversation can happen through car windows. Still, seeing Tang Qing in person was undoubtedly sothing to brag about.
China’s richest man.
Even the driver had never seen him up close before.
"He’s gone—out of sight."
"What a sha. I didn’t get any photos."
"The picture I took was blurry because my hands were shaking."
Seeing this,
the female tour guide called out a few tis until the bus finally settled down.
"Everyone, take your seat and don’t make things difficult for the driver. This expressway has a speed limit of 111 km/h for buses—we’re definitely not catching up. I estimate they’re doing around 130 km/h."
The group finally cald down.
They pulled out their mobile phones.
So posted to Monts, while others who hadn’t taken pictures simply borrowed photos from their classmates.
"Honestly, you’ve got to admit—the 4G signal in this mountainous area is impressive," a female student posted instantly.
Hearing this,
a male student next to her quickly chid in, "Of course. Myanmar Economic Zone—or rather Myanmar—is the first country to achieve nationwide 4G coverage and implentation. Wherever there’s people, there’s 4G."
Unexpectedly,
the female student shot him a sideways glance.
"As if I didn’t know that—I was just musing."
"..."
...
Two hours later.
A service area.
They pulled over.
This particular service area was quite unique, located on a lakeshore spanning thousands of acres. After parking, visitors could descend marble steps leading to the lake, which had been developed into a small scenic zone.
Fishing.
Swimming.
Boating.
Guesthouses.
Lakeside agritainnt.
It offered virtually everything.
"Impressive, isn’t it?"
Standing atop the steps and gazing at the erald-green waters, Tang Kai sighed. This was part of Myanmar’s comprehensive tourism plan and had originated from bidding offers. What lay before them was only the tip of the project.
Further on, past a mountain, was another, even larger lake.
Encircling that lake were villas.
There were talks of building a large-scale sanatorium there. Tang Kai hadn’t paid much attention at the ti.
"It’s breathtaking."
"Once I have more free ti, I’ll co back to explore thoroughly. Right now, though, it’s not fully completed. What you’re seeing is rely one portion," Tang Kai said.
Tang Qing was familiar with the site.
He also knew that this lake was man-made—ford by redirecting other rivers temporarily, which were later restored, leaving behind a small tributary to keep the lake’s waters constantly fresh.
After observing for a while,
"Tangtang, it’s gone up again! Today’s closing price was fifty-six—good numbers," Tang Kai suddenly said, like a chirp of good news. The biggest climber today wasn’t Qingyuan Technology but Myanmar Pharmaceutical Group.
Its daily increase reached 9%.
It looked like there was more upward montum ahead.
"Not bad."
"Plenty of people have sold off Myanmar Environntal Technology Company’s stocks to buy into Myanmar Pharmaceutical Group, claiming Myanmar Environntal has peaked. Tangtang, what’s your take on that?"
Peaked?
Tang Qing smirked inwardly.
Impossible.
It was rely the beginning. Its filtration and solidification products still held imnse untapped potential. Once fully developed, its annual revenue wouldn’t fall under one trillion Asia Dollars—it was currently sitting at just over three hundred billion.
Moving forward,
within a year,
Tang Qing wanted to see it surpass the trillion threshold. The first two products alone might not achieve that, but the key lay in the product launching on the 26th, which was a critical necessity for many nations.
No fears about insufficient demand.
One trillion.
It’s not too much to aim for.
Last year, Walmart’s revenue exceeded three hundred billion USD, but it wouldn’t take long for Myanmar Environntal Technology Company, all on its own, to contest Walmart for the top spot on the Fortune Global 500 rankings.
