"Professor Yu Wen, Little Luo Ye, how have you considered my proposal just now?" As soon as the Second Chief left the room, Ye Ainiang hurriedly spoke.
"Director Ye, you told to consider it first. This matter caught off guard, so it’s really difficult for to give you a reply right now." Luo Ye politely refused.
"Little Luo Ye, we agreed that you won’t promise Minister Lin before talking to ." For Ye Ainiang, the person he most valued was Yu Wenze. He also worried that showing too much enthusiasm toward Luo Ye might hurt Yu Wenze’s feelings, so he’d rather secure whatever possibility he could.
"Old Ye, aren’t you worried you’re biting off more than you can chew?" Lin Yesong glared at Ye Ainiang, then looked at Luo Ye, "Little Luo, I know all the ritorious service you’ve accomplished at such a young age, and I’m aware of the privileges you hold in Fierce Tiger.
Compared to Fierce Tiger, our departnt truly doesn’t offer much advantage, but if you’re considering long-term developnt, you can’t stay in Fierce Tiger forever, right?
Compared to the army, our departnt is naturally more flexible. You’re a young woman, and only a relatively free environnt can conveniently allow you to balance your career and family.
Since the Second Chief has already spoken, even if you’re young and not very experienced, holding a high position, no one would dare raise objections. Besides, I believe you should have enough self-confidence in your abilities. Given ti, you’ll certainly earn genuine appreciation and respect from your colleagues. Consider it carefully, okay?"
Apparently, Minister Lin was trying to persuade her like a child. However, people are Ministerial Level leaders after all; bluntly refusing would be quite impolite. With this in mind, Luo Ye sweetly smiled: "Minister Lin, for such a significant matter, I have to discuss it thoroughly with my family before deciding."
Lin Yesong nodded in agreent: "Right, you should discuss it. I’ll wait for your reply."
Deputy Minister Wen Antong picked up the thread: "Luo Ye, I hope you can give us a reply soon. This kind of opportunity is truly rare for soone your age, you should seize it properly."
Luo Ye scrutinized him and directly voiced the doubt in her mind: "Pardon my impoliteness, but you should be from the Wen Family in Beijing, correct?"
"That’s right." Wen Antong nodded and looked at Lin Yesong, "Minister, Luo Ye is my second uncle’s kid. Although the two families seldom interact, we’re ultimately relatives. Since the child is here, I’d like to fulfill so responsibilities as an uncle, if that’s okay with you..."
Lin Yesong nodded: "Alright, you can take her to the eting room next door."
A flash of realization passed through Luo Ye’s lowered gaze. No wonder Lin Yesong stayed so composed when Ye Ainiang tried to poach talent; it seems he was already aware of her relation with Wen Antong.
But, is this useful?
Or perhaps, in the eyes of outsiders, being part of the sa Wen Family lineage ans that even when challenges arise, they always side with their own kin.
Too bad, exceptions exist in everything!
How could past resentnts be forgotten? The fragntation of the Wen Family, without Great Grandpa’s testant, things might have been handled evenly. But once said testant was given, and Grandpa chose to concede in the end, the bla lies entirely with Great Grandpa!
Since Great Grandpa’s side didn’t see relatives as kin, why should she regard the opposite side as kin? What’s their developnt got to do with her?
Call her stubborn or say she’s unyielding, or even heartless, after enduring such hardships, how could she genuinely move on? She’s certainly no naive saint!
"Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing? How did you manage to snatch her away?" anwhile, Ye Ainiang, attempting tirelessly to persuade Yu Wenze, saw Wen Antong leading Luo Ye out, and panicked.
Lin Yesong smiled and explained: "Old Ye, we’re not that despicable. Little Luo Ye is Old Wen’s niece, they wanted a mont in the next room to discuss family matters; surely you wouldn’t stop them?"
"Luo Ye is Old Wen’s niece?" Ye Ainiang repeated, furrowing his brow, "Doesn’t that indicate Luo Ye won’t co to us?" As he spoke, his gaze turned more eager toward Yu Wenze, "Professor Yu Wen, we’re really in need of talents like you here. By the way, you don’t have any family ties with our Deputy Director Li, right..." He said while glancing at Deputy Director Li Pingru.
Watching Ye Ainiang ramble endlessly like Tang Seng, Yu Wenze wore an expression of helplessness. His intentions were already clearly stated; he enjoyed teaching, he liked being with students, especially those in military schools, which gave him a sense of passionate enthusiasm.
