When the Cheng family mother and daughter were sold off, Jiang Xue happened to return to the village. Upon arriving ho, she found the door locked, so she had to take her child to ask the neighbors.

At that, Mr. Zhuo’s voice ca from beside them: "Worry about for what?"

"I ca to see Mom and Dad, but they’re not ho. I was just about to ask Uncle Zhuo if you knew where they went."
"Your parents, they went up the mountain, said they were going to gather so firewood. With the new year coming, they wanted to have so firewood ready for the celebration."
"I see, thanks Uncle Zhuo, I’ll go find them then."
"Do you know the way? Should Little Yue go with you?"
Hearing this, Zhuoyue’s face darkened, ready to refuse when Jiang Xue replied, "No need, I know the way."
"Alright then, be careful on your way."
Jiang Xue nodded, turned, and left without even a glance at Zhuoyue. This made Zhuoyue unhappy, feeling like he had been looked down upon.
