"Don’t worry, I’ll be there right away."
Mu Qiancheng saw the delight on Jiang Xue’s face and couldn’t help but ask, "So happy? Who was on the phone?"
"It was Mr. Chen. He wants to go to the county later."
"That can’t be the only reason you’re happy, right?" Mu Qiancheng asked with a smile. He had just heard Jiang Xue exclaiming how great it was; clearly, there was sothing more.
"Guess!" Jiang Xue teased, leaving Mu Qiancheng feeling both amused and helpless. If he could guess, why would he need to ask her?
"I can’t guess!" Mu Qiancheng shook his head. He’s no Immortal; how could he magically know what made Jiang Xue so happy?
"Co on, guess! You can definitely figure it out," Jiang Xue shook Mu Qiancheng’s arm, coaxing him playfully. She believed that with Mu Qiancheng’s intelligence, he would surely guess it.
"Alright, I’ll give it a shot." Mu Qiancheng started guessing earnestly. He suddenly rembered that Jiang Xue took a self-study exam a few days ago. Instantly, he was on the right track and said, "I’m guessing your exam results are out."
"You’re amazing, hubby!" Jiang Xue beca excited and then said, "Mr. Chen just told that the results were pretty good; I passed all the subjects."
"Really? That’s fantastic! My Xue’er is truly amazing. So many subjects, and you passed them all. I must celebrate this properly for you."
Mu Qiancheng was really happy for Jiang Xue upon hearing that she passed the self-study exam. Previously, she had put in a lot of hard work and dedication during her review sessions for the exam, sothing Mu Qiancheng witnessed clearly.
Now, with such fruitful results from her effort, it was truly sothing to be happy about.
"How are you planning to celebrate for ?" Jiang Xue asked with a bright smile. Passing the self-study exam made her really, really happy.
This ant she would have a college diploma in the future, and even though it was from self-study, it was still worthwhile.
"Well, I need to think this through," Mu Qiancheng pretended to be mysterious. He had already decided on how to celebrate for Jiang Xue but didn’t plan on telling her just yet.
"You’re just keeping in suspense. I’m ignoring you now." Jiang Xue pretended to be angry, then went to pack her things. Mr. Chen had just asked her to go to the county, and she needed to get going soon. Maybe she could even co back by noon to have lunch with Shangguan Wenbin.
Mu Qiancheng knew his little wife was faking her anger, but he still walked over to her, embraced her, and coaxed, "Xue’er, it’s not that I won’t tell you; it’s just not finalized yet. Once I figure it out, I’ll definitely let you know, alright?"
"Rember, you promised," Jiang Xue finally smiled, then nudged Mu Qiancheng, saying, "Let go of ; I still need to pack. I have to go to the county soon."
"Xue’er, I’m off today. Let accompany you," Mu Qiancheng, who wished he could stick to Jiang Xue 24 hours a day, naturally wanted to go wherever she went.
"Alright!" Jiang Xue agreed with a smile. Even though Mu Qiancheng was a bit clingy, having him along was only advantageous, at least she’d have a free driver.
"Great, I’ll drop our son off at my parents’ place." Mu Qiancheng was thrilled and picked up Little Reunion, who was playing on the floor, and said, "Son, mom and dad have things to do and need to go out. You go play with grandpa and grandma, okay?"
Little Reunion looked at Mu Qiancheng and then at Jiang Xue, reaching out to her.
