Mu Qiancheng didn’t want to bring Little Reunion along, as it was inconvenient, so he coaxed, "Son, your mom and I are going to handle so matters; it’s not convenient to bring you along. Go play with your grandparents, and when Mommy and Daddy co back, we’ll bring you a toy, okay?"
However, Little Reunion shook his head; he wanted to go with them. Honestly, being with his grandparents was boring.
"This kid?" Mu Qiancheng was sowhat speechless, watching Little Reunion intending to forcibly send him to his parents.
"Forget it, let’s take him with us," Jiang Xue suggested. After all, they weren’t going for anything major, so taking the child wasn’t a problem. If it really didn’t work out, they could just put him in the space later.
"Alright then!" Since Jiang Xue agreed, Mu Qiancheng had nothing more to say. He picked up Little Reunion, got him a piece of clothing, told Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang, and then left with Jiang Xue.
Mu Qiancheng was naturally the driver, while Jiang Xue held the child, sitting in the front passenger seat.
Mu Qiancheng drove out of the city heading toward the county. Xu City wasn’t far from the county town, just over an hour’s drive.
Upon reaching the county town, Jiang Xue headed straight to Chen’s house. Mr. Chen had been waiting at ho for a while. Seeing Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng arrive together, he was overjoyed. As for Little Reunion, Jiang Xue had already put him in the space, letting him play with the Little Fox.
"Jiang Xue, Qian Cheng, you’re here."
"Mr. Chen, sorry for the wait."
"Co on in."
Mr. Chen welcod Jiang Xue and the others inside, then had the housemaid serve them tea before saying, "Jiang Xue, you did really well in your exams this ti. Except for ninety-sothing in English and Chinese, all your other subjects were full marks."
Mr. Chen bead with joy as he talked about Jiang Xue’s results with Rong Youyan. Such self-study results were unprecedented, not just in the county, but in the entire province.
Most people would be happy with a sixty in self-study exams, but Jiang Xue had full marks in everything.
"Really?" Jiang Xue was sowhat surprised. Although she knew she did well, she hadn’t expected full marks in everything.
"Why would I lie to you? Your results even got the attention of the education director, who specifically reached out to et you."
Hearing this, Jiang Xue finally understood what the good news Mr. Chen ntioned earlier was about. However, Jiang Xue didn’t understand; did the education director want to et her just to see her?
"Have you arranged a ti with him, Mr. Chen?" Jiang Xue asked with a smile. Even though she didn’t know the director’s intentions, there was no harm in eting. She would be doing business in the future, and knowing more people would be beneficial.
"We’ve scheduled it for ten-thirty; it’s only nine now, so there’s a bit more than an hour."
During the remaining hour, Jiang Xue chatted with Mr. Chen at his house about culture and calligraphy. They only stopped when Mu Qiancheng reminded them that it was almost ti, and then they headed for the education bureau together.
When they arrived at the education bureau, Mr. Chen took Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng directly to the director’s office.
"Mr. Chen, you’re here!" Upon seeing Mr. Chen, Director Huang, who was behind the desk, imdiately stood up, warmly greeting him.
"Director Huang, I’ve brought the person you wanted to et. This is Jiang Xue, and next to her is her husband." Before sitting down, Mr. Chen introduced Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng to Director Huang.
"Hello, Director Huang. I’m Jiang Xue, it’s a pleasure to et you."
"You’re Jiang Xue, are you? Great, wonderful!" Director Huang looked at Jiang Xue, full of excitent.
