It could be said that Xiao Yu, who had integrated the advantages of both a Technological Civilization and a chanical Civilization, was far more suited to the role of pursuer than this Level 4 Alien Beast. At the very least, the beast lacked such advanced detection capabilities, it couldn’t monitor enemy movents in real ti. Nor did it possess such superior mobility, the kind that would allow it to imdiately respond upon locating its target and launch a counterattack on the spot.
While Xiao Yu himself didn’t possess such mobility either, his enormous numbers made up for that shortcoming. His omnipresent fleet could launch attacks at any point within this miniature universe at any ti.
Under such conditions, the Level 4 Alien Beast had only one fate, to be ground down to death, without the slightest chance of survival. That is, unless the other presence in this little universe chose to intervene.
That presence was Intelligent Program One.
Xiao Yu actually didn’t know much about Intelligent Program One, nor did he know whether it possessed the power to interfere with his actions. The 1.5 million ships that weren’t participating in battle, rather than guarding Xiao Yu’s flagship, might be better described as a defensive line against Intelligent Program One.
In the course of this pursuit, at least one-quarter of Xiao Yu’s attention remained fixed on Intelligent Program One.
“Intelligent Program One should understand by now that I’ve uncovered its secret,” Xiao Yu thought. “That I know it harbors ill intentions toward . That I know it has developed its own consciousness. Under such circumstances, how will it respond to the current situation?” As he fiercely encircled the Level 4 Alien Beast, Xiao Yu’s thoughts raced.
At this mont, the battle with the beast had reached its most critical juncture. The three Nation-Class ships rushing to reinforce were not far off, just ten more minutes and they would complete the encirclent. At that point, the beast’s death would be inevitable.
It seed the creature sensed the looming crisis as well. Disregarding the danger of Four-Dinsional Shield detonations causing it injury, it let out a furious roar and compressed its massive body into a tight coil, then charged toward a relatively weaker spot in Xiao Yu’s defenses.
That position was guarded by three City-Class ships. Intense artillery fire blazed continuously, gravitational bombs, material disintegration beams, antimatter bombs, various types of death-ray beams at different frequencies, all kinds of weapons bombarded the creature with ferocity. Yet it acted as though it didn’t notice, relying solely on its tough hide and flesh to withstand the onslaught, pushing forward without hesitation.
“We must stall it.” Xiao Yu’s mind moved like lightning. He instantly made his decision and ordered the three City-Class ships, along with their supporting small vessels, to stand their ground and not retreat.
Then the violent collision occurred. With its incredible agility, the beast accelerated to near-light speed over a short distance. Matter moving at near-light speed carries trendous kinetic energy, especially a creature of its massive size and mass. Such a collision was sothing even City-Class ships couldn’t withstand.
All three City-Class ships exploded in sequence. On the beast’s massive body, three bursts of blood exploded outward. Huge chunks of flesh were blasted into space, hurling away at extre initial velocity toward the far reaches of the cosmos, only to be intercepted by recovery ships already lying in wait.
After the destruction of the three City-Class ships, countless smaller ships began to crash into the beast without hesitation. Though these small ships weren’t equipped with Four-Dinsional Shields and couldn’t inflict aningful damage, their continuous, self-sacrificial collisions finally succeeded in slightly slowing the beast’s montum, buying just a bit more ti. And that sliver of ti was all that was needed.
In the distance, the grim and cold form of the Indonesia ca into view. From its hull emanated a breath that felt as though it ca from so savage, desolate land. This ship didn’t resemble a creation of a highly developed technological civilization. Rather, it looked like the terrifying god from the minds of uncivilized barbarians, ferocious, grotesque, brutal, and bloodthirsty.
“Awooo!” The Level 4 Alien Beast let out a roar. There was no air here, no way for sound to travel, so the roar was transmitted as a burst of electromagnetic waves in all directions. Xiao Yu received the signal and clearly felt the despair and rage woven into that cry.
The Indonesia Nation-Class ship formation had cut off its escape route. It tried to turn back, only to see that the Japan had arrived as well, its entire hull glowing yellow and radiating waves of scorching heat.
The Japan’s appearance was exactly like this. The inspiration for the design of the Japan ca from a star. Xiao Yu had deliberately modeled it after the image of a star, shaping the Japan into its current form. Trendous heat constantly radiated from its surface. If there were intelligent beings from a technological civilization present here, the mont they laid eyes on the Japan, their imdiate reaction would be a sensation of overwhelming heat, an urge to strip off all their clothing in search of even the slightest coolness.
The Russia Nation-Class ship had also arrived. The first impression the Russia gave off was that of solidity, heaviness, and an aura saturated with war. In fact, among the three Nation-Class ships, Indonesia, Japan, and Russia, the Russia had the most powerful overall performance.
The three Nation-Class ship formations, carrying nearly eight hundred thousand vessels, had finally all arrived, completing the planned encirclent maneuver. The remaining two Nation-Class ships were still en route. They would not participate in the siege but would remain on the periphery just in case, to prevent the creature from escaping.
The Liaoning Province-Class fleet, which had undertaken the task of pinning down the Level 4 Alien Beast and successfully kept it in place, had now suffered heavy losses. Of over Ten Thousand small vessels, fewer than Three Thousand remained. More than seventy percent of the County and City-Class ships had been destroyed. Even the fleet flagship, the Liaoning, had sustained so damage. One could imagine, had the beast not feared the damage that might be caused by the Liaoning’s explosion, even the Liaoning might not have survived.
This was the combat strength of a Level 4 Alien Beast.
At this mont, it seed to have gone mad. Before the final battle had even begun, it was already riled up, letting out deafening roars amidst the dense encirclent of ships.
Endless fury and despair began to spread. Amidst its howls, Xiao Yu received ssage after ssage.
“The universe gave birth to ! I made planets my nest, drew energy from stars. I’ve survived at the core of a planet for over five million years, and now I am to die at the hands of such a petty and despicable Technological Civilization!”
“Five million years of careful cultivation, and I can’t even defeat a tiny creature like this?!”
“Technological Civilization! Let go. I swear I’ll never trouble you again. Once I leave this place, I’ll stay far away and never cause you any more trouble!”
“Otherwise, even if I have to die, I’ll drag one of your flagships to the grave with !”
At this mont, it radiated a tragic aura, like a dood warrior facing the chill of the Yi River winds.
To this, Xiao Yu sneered.
“You creature, your brain must be broken. For a thing like you to survive for five million years is already a stroke of luck. If you hadn’t hidden so well, the Specter Race elder would’ve wiped you out long ago. You want to leave now? You want to make peace with at this point? Too late. How many tis have I told you before: in this universe, the most important thing is to develop yourself. But you wouldn’t listen. You insisted on pestering . Now, nothing you say matters. Do you think I’ll let a scourge like you escape? Today is the day you die. A Nation-Class ship? I don’t care. After I kill you, I’m going to use your body to build Continent-Class, even Planet-Class ships.”
Xiao Yu didn’t even bother to send this ssage. He simply had no interest in engaging with it anymore. As this thought flashed through his mind, Xiao Yu gave his answer through action.
All eight hundred thousand ships opened fire simultaneously. An endless barrage of cannon fire instantly engulfed it. In the storm of intense firepower, it howled furiously, charging left and right, but no matter what it did, it couldn’t break through Xiao Yu’s encirclent. It was like an insect caught in a spider’s web, no amount of struggling could escape the spider’s pursuit.
But it was, after all, a powerful being. In its desperate struggle, it ca close to breaking out of the encirclent several tis. Fortunately, Xiao Yu had already stationed two additional Nation-Class ship formations outside the encirclent. A total of seven hundred thousand ships faithfully played the role of reinforcent net, always ready to strike whenever the creature was on the verge of breaking through, dragging it back again and again.
This battle was earth-shattering, nearly turning this miniature universe upside down. The war lasted for two whole months. Xiao Yu watched as its tentacles gradually diminished, as its body slowly shrank, as the Alien Beast flesh collected by his resource-recovery ships grew more and more abundant.
It was like a ruthless millstone, grinding its life away bit by bit. This was the most secure and also the most exhausting thod of combat. But Xiao Yu didn’t care about the cost. All he wanted was to ensure its death, he would allow no accidents.
For centuries, Xiao Yu had been utterly plagued by this creature. This ti, he was fully determined to kill it.
Two months later.
It had already lost a quarter of its size, yet it still fought on with all its strength. But by now, the situation was extrely unfavorable for it. After sustaining such severe injuries, it no longer possessed its original combat power. One could even say it was on the brink of death.
“This is the end.” Xiao Yu received its final ssage. Then, under Xiao Yu’s cold gaze, the creature charged toward the closest Province-Class ship.
Xiao Yu issued the order without a trace of emotion, not even caring whether the Province-Class ship would be destroyed.
Countless rounds of cannon fire began to rain in that direction.
