Hundreds of colossal Space Gates towered in the void, with countless spaceships arrayed in formation, waiting to pass through. There were simply too many ships. Even with hundreds of Space Gates, such a gigantic flow could not be handled in a short ti. In this region of space, besides the omnipresent warships, there were also so vast, hazy silhouettes constantly appearing and vanishing.
These were powerful single-entity civilizations. They already possessed the ability to traverse space on their own, so they did not need to rely on the Space Gates built by Technological Civilizations. Xiao Yu held an absolute advantage in performance. Xiao Yu had far too few ships. On average, each of his warships was simultaneously besieged by more than one hundred enemy warships. Among the enemies he faced were peak Level 6 civilizations equipped with advanced shields and ships capable of reaching one hundred and fifty tis the speed of light. Sotis he encountered high-level Level 6 civilizations that had only just built Star-Class battleships and were full of conceit. Even so preliminary civilizations that possessed only Planet-Class battleships were throwing themselves at him in desperate attacks.
Enemies were everywhere, warships everywhere. These ships surged toward Xiao Yu like a tidal wave. Xiao Yu soon realized that it was impossible to hold the small universe, impossible to keep the enemy outside the gate. It was already a foregone conclusion that his outer defenses would be breached.
This small universe was simply too large. To defend all of it would require an astronomical amount of force. Even if Xiao Yu devoted all of his computational power, he still could not control enough ships to guard every sector.
“It does not matter. If I cannot hold the entire small universe, then I will just defend these few star systems. As long as my research is not affected, it is fine.” Xiao Yu thought casually.
The Fla Civilization did not see it that way. From within the small universe, they could clearly perceive the overall situation and Xiao Yu’s disadvantage. The situation was now extrely critical, so they felt they had to do sothing.
“Our civilization may be weak, but at a ti like this, we should not continue hiding in the rear like cowards. We will also participate in the battle and contribute our strength to the defense.” the leader of the Fla Civilization said.
Xiao Yu neither agreed nor objected. Thus, after several hundred years of developnt, the Fla Civilization, which had managed to assemble fewer than ten million warships, also joined the war. Enormous numbers of warships began to gather. A far larger Space Gate rose in the dark void, and behind it stretched an extrely solid Space Bridge. Every civilization participating in this engagent possessed Star-Class battleships, and together they had assembled over one billion of their most advanced warships. At the sa ti, so hidden forces lurked in the void, ready to intervene in the battle at any mont.
The enormous fleet advanced slowly but steadily. Battlefields in other sectors were successfully tying down most of Xiao Yu’s forces, leaving him able to muster only limited resistance against this strongest Space Bridge.
Even if Xiao Yu’s warships plunged into this vast ocean of enemy warships, there was only one outco, which was to be blasted apart and carve open a path with their deaths.
The Fla Civilization had been struggling bitterly the whole ti. They had suffered devastating losses when fleeing the Guardian Alliance and had never recovered since. They had finally managed to regain a bit of strength and form a fleet that could not exactly be called large, and they had now thrown all of it into this defensive war. Although Xiao Yu did not take the Androda Galaxy Alliance’s offensive seriously, he did not stop the Fla Civilization from doing this. The Androda Galaxy would later be handed over to the Fla Civilization, so they had to pay so price in this war.
The Fla Civilization had fought in disadvantageous conditions all along, maintaining high morale. But when they saw the enemies they now faced, they finally sent a request for aid to Xiao Yu for the first ti.
“Leader, our civilization truly cannot hold on any longer. The enemy attacking this ti is beyond the limits of what we can handle. At most, we can hold for three hours. After three hours, the defensive line will be broken…”
Xiao Yu assembled a fleet of ten million warships, led by a single Star-Class battleship, and sent it here to reinforce the Fla Civilization. The fighting imdiately turned fierce. Ten million warships were absolutely no match for one billion, but in defense, it was not so easy for the enemy fleet to break through.
Yet at this mont, strange fluctuations began to appear along the Space Bridge. Xiao Yu saw that several dozen Level 6 Alien Beasts and several dozen oddly shaped large warships entered the Space Bridge. There was sothing peculiar about these large warships. In the earlier fighting, Xiao Yu had never encountered any single-entity civilizations. He had suspected that the organizer might have hidden all these powerful single-entity civilizations, intending to catch him off guard at a critical mont. Now, Xiao Yu’s guess was confird.
“Fine, you win this battle.” Xiao Yu thought with a hint of mockery. “We will see whether you can also conquer the star systems I am actually defending.”
Escape for these ten million warships was now impossible. In this broad and solid Space Bridge, the last battle before the fall of the small universe began.
A terrifying Alien Beast, sowhat similar to the dinosaurs of ancient Earth but many tis larger, was rearing up here and roaring to the heavens. A Nation-Class spaceship failed to dodge in ti and was smashed into an explosion with a single sweep of its tail. A warship belonging to a scientific Taihao Civilization had entangled a Planet-Class battleship, the two sides locked in fierce exchange of fire. A Nation-Class spaceship was trapped in an endless encirclent of warships. Although it struggled desperately, in the end it still exhausted all of its energy. Here within the Space Bridge, it was not even possible to flee, so it could only helplessly explode into a ball of fire.
This battle lasted for about three months. After those three months, Xiao Yu’s ten million warships and the Fla Civilization’s remaining five million warships were all annihilated.
