Tong Zhaodi whispered, looking horrified. "Why is it ...acting like a giant puppy?"
"That thing looks like a puppy to you?" Zhai Heng’s gaze shifted to the woman next to him. He had a feeling that she was either crazy or she might have lost a cell in her brain. What did she an by that the thing in front of them was a little puppy? There was no similarity between the thing in front of them and a little puppy.
He then turned to look at Han Ruochen and asked in a low voice, "What did you do down there?" Zhai Heng did not know anything about Han Ruochen’s skills; he still had a feeling that this was related to Han Ruochen. After all, why would this thing follow Han Ruochen?
However, even though he questioned her, he knew that there was no way Han Ruochen was going to answer his question, and just as he expected, Han Ruochen did not reply. Instead, she walked toward the edge of the boat.
Zhai Heng wanted to stop her instinctively, but when he saw her, she did not look too worried, so he backed off. He instinctively trusted the woman, and since it seed like she had it under control, Zhai Heng had no desire to intervene either. However, he still stayed close to her in case he had to pull her back.
Han Ruochen was not scared. Because at that very mont, the sea had beco quiet. There were neither crashing waves nor fluttering winds. Seeing that the creature had no intention to attack them, Han Ruochen heaved a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, this thing had no intention to harm them, or else they would have had no way out of that kind of situation. Just as she was wondering what to do with this unexpected ’pet’ that she had received out of nowhere, the system abruptly expanded across Han Ruochen’s vision.

Han Ruochen continued looking at the screen in front of her, and her eyes continued to flicker with all kinds of emotions as she read the resources displayed on the screen. At first, Han Ruochen thought that the system was playing with her because she was able to detect the black pearl beds. And what was up with the deep coral clusters and sunken cargo fragnts?

Tong Zhaodi and Zhai Heng, on the other hand, had not the slightest bit of idea what was going on. At that very mont, they were only worried about one thing and that was the presence of the creature in front of them. Tong Zhaodi looked at the creature that was in front of their boat and asked in a trembling voice, "How co this thing followed you? Didn’t you go to search for so sea ginseng?
"I don’t know." Han Ruochen knew that she could not tell the truth to anyone. The existence of the sea-scanning system was itself a miraculous thing. If others found out about it, then there was a good chance that she would be targeted. Han Ruochen trusted Tong Zhaodi and Zhai Heng. but after living her life locked up like a dog, she could never trust human hearts again.
She had clearly treated her niece and children very well, even when she had been crippled and turned blind in one eye. Those kids also told her that they would be respectful and filial to her when they were young and could eat at but when they grew up, what did they do? Her own children disrepected her and found her disgusting. As for her niece, she stole her sea-scanning system and used her as a blood vessel.
Even if the two of them were her good friends for now, who knows how long the status quo would stay?
"Then what are we supposed to do? Leave?" Zhai Heng asked nervously while looking at the sea creature. Given the current situation, he had no idea what to think.
"Are you sure that it will work?" Tong Zhaodi questioned back. "I have a feeling that even if we leave, this thing is going to follow us."
"You are right," said Han Ruochen as she straightened up.
The guardian released a low, deep sound across the water. However, the sound was not at all threatening. In fact, it was as if the guardian were looking at them curiously.
Its enormous eyes remained fixed on Han Ruochen while it slowly swam alongside the boat as they moved along with the waves that kept rising and falling. Even though the beast looked a bit threatening, Han Ruochen knew that it had no intention of harming her. In fact, it was looking at her as if she were a creature that was under his protection.
Zhai Heng and Tong Zhaodi turned to look at Han Ruochen at once.
"Can you understand what the thing is saying?" Zhai Heng asked. Only after blurting out those words, did he realise that he might have said sothing nonsensical. How could Han Ruochen even understand the sea creature? The chances were close to none.
Sure enough, Han Ruochen turned to look at him as if he had lost his mind.
"Sorry."
"As long as it does not attack us, I think we are fine." Han Ruochen pursed her lips and stated. She did not care about anything else. As long as they could survive this ordeal nothing else mattered. But as soon as this thought flashed in her head, the sea guardian suddenly moved again!
