Han Yichen was dumbstruck after listening to the shaless words of his wife. He drew in a breath and asked, "What do you an by if Ruochen brought back her earnings, then we wouldn’t be in this predicant? Is she the one who wasted our savings by lending them out to soone who has no capabilities? And why should she bring her earnings back ho? She is an adult. She can very well keep her earnings in her account if she wants to."
"Very well, I gave birth to her and went through hours of labour pain, and now you are telling that I don’t even have this little right on her? Old Han, how can you say such a thing to ? Where is your conscience while saying such things? What about the contributions that I have put into this family? Aren’t they considered at all? Shouldn’t my children be filial to ?"
ng Yunhan burst into tears. She felt really unfair. She had indeed suffered a lot when she gave birth to these five children. This was also the reason why she hated them to the core. Only Ziyan was kind enough not to give her any trouble.
"Don’t try to make it sound like I am bullying you. I have already told you the expenses that you have incurred all these years. So even if Ruochen wants to keep the money to herself, she can do that without asking for your permission."
Startled by Han Yichen’s sudden roar, ng Yunhan stopped crying. She couldn’t help but snarl, "We are dirt poor now. We have no savings, can’t she just take out so money and put it in the family’s account? We are all from the sa family. Is there a need to be so calculating?"
ng Yunhan couldn’t understand. In the past, Han Ruochen would never have dared to say a word against her, and she listened to her without questioning her, but now this girl wasn’t even willing to let the smallest thing go.
"So calculating?" Han Yichen was amused by how ng Yunhan was making one excuse after another. Did she think that he was a fool? Anyone with eyes could see what ng Yunhan was doing. She wanted to shift the bla to Han Ruochen, making it look like she was the one who had let the family down. He had to admit that ng Yunhan was really cruel in more than one way. She had clearly spent every penny that he earned on her own, and yet, instead of feeling guilty and taking responsibility for her actions, she wanted to shrug the weight off her heart.
"ng Yunhan, oh ng Yunhan. Did you not think that you were calculating before you spent all the savings of our family?" In the past, he used to think that his children were wary of their mother for no reason, but now, he had a feeling that his children had seen through ng Yunhan more quickly than he.
"How can that be the sa? I am your wife. I had the rights to those savings–"
"Ruochen, did you hear that? Your mom can only take the savings that belong to and not you. So you don’t have to worry about explaining your expenses to her." Han Yichen smiled coldly. He stroked Han Ruochen’s head and continued speaking, "She is your mother, not your spouse. You don’t need to hand your money to her."
"Then thank you, Dad," said Han Ruochen with a smile on her lips.
No matter what, she had finally received the permission to keep her money to herself, and there was nothing more that she needed. She wouldn’t have to worry about ng Yunhan acting like a demon anymore.
She glanced at ng Yunhan, whose face had turned green, and a wicked thought ca to her mind. "Mom, where is Ziyan? Is she out on the beach playing?"
Han Yichen frowned hard. He turned to look at ng Yunhan and shot her a questioning look. "Of course not. She is not the one who rushes out to the beach every day. She is in her room cleaning it." ng Yunhan never doubted her precious daughter, and so when she said that she was cleaning her room, she believed her.
"Mom, isn’t this unfair? Just because you love Ziyan more than us, you let her do whatever she wants to do. Dad and I are working hard to make up for the loss that had nothing to do with us, so why is Ziyan not out there looking for a job? This won’t do. I need to have a strict talk with Ziyan; we are no longer in the sa position as in the past. She cannot act as wilfully as she used to in the past."
After she finished speaking, she turned on her feet and headed upstairs without giving anyone a chance to stop him.
It took ng Yunhan a while to understand what Han Ruochen was saying to her. Her eyes widened in great surprise, and she chased after Han Ruochen. "You wretched girl. What do you think you are doing? Where do you think you are going?" That wretched girl was really sly. Just when she was not paying attention, this woman ended up causing a big fuss. She chased after Han Ruochen, hot on her tail, but ng Yunhan was no longer as young as she used to be.
She couldn’t catch Han Ruochen at all, and by the ti she caught Han Ruochen, the woman had already pushed open the door. When she saw that Han Ruochen had actually pushed Han Ziyan’s door and gone inside, she was so angry that she barged inside right after her. For two seconds, she completely forgot that if she wanted Han Ruochen to knock on the door, the least she could have done was to first set an example that she wanted Han Ruochen to follow.
However, at that mont, ng Yunhan didn’t care about anything and rushed inside, and as soon as she entered, she saw Han Ziyan’s face covered with tears. Her eyes were clouded with sadness.
