Chapter 2746: Chapter 2746: Order The Room Service
“A club sandwich, chicken soup, and a glass of apple juice.” Tang Qin Hao replied, keeping his voice even.
Long Hui walked over to the vintage room telephone and firmly pressed the designated Room Service button. After waiting for a few brief moments, a pleasant female voice answered the line.
“Good evening. Room Service. How may I assist you today, Sir?” The female staff member asked politely.
“I am staying in the Presidential Suite on the thirty-fifth floor, Room 1201.” Long Hui spoke calmly into the receiver. “I would like to order four club sandwiches, two bowls of hot chicken soup, one glass of apple juice, and one bottle of your finest Pinot Noir.”
“Certainly, Sir. Let me repeat your order to confirm.” The female staff member spoke professionally. “Four club sandwiches, two bowls of chicken soup, one glass of apple juice, and one bottle of Pinot Noir. Is that entirely correct?”
“Yes.” Long Hui confirmed.
“Very well, Sir. We will prepare your order immediately and deliver it to your suite shortly. Please allow us a little time.” A female staff member stated.
“Thank you.” Long Hui replied before hanging up the phone.
He returned to his seat on the sofa and seamlessly continued looking at his phone as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. The room soon fell into a heavy silence once again. After hesitating for a short while, Tang Qin Hao finally spoke up again, his voice tight.
“May I borrow your phone to contact my medical assistant?” Tang Qin Hao asked.
He could already vividly imagine how panicked his assistant must be after discovering that he had mysteriously disappeared without a trace during the conference that afternoon.
“No.” Long Hui rejected the request immediately and without hesitation. “We should wait until she es out of the room first.”
“But…” Tang Qin Hao wanted to argue the logic.
“We cannot allow the mastermind to discover that you have already been successfully rescued.” Long Hui looked at him calmly, his gaze piercing. “Until you fully recover your physical strength and can protect yourself, it is far safer for everyone involved if you remain pletely hidden from the world.”
Tang Qin Hao narrowed his sharp eyes at the statement.
“You…You already know exactly who the mastermind is.” Tang Qin Hao’s tone became noticeably more serious and demanding. “Tell me. Who went to such lengths to kidnap me?”
He really wanted to know who kidnapped him.
Long Hui remained pletely unmoved by the pressure. “Wait until she es out.”
“Why can’t you just tell me right now?” Tang Qin Hao pressed, frustration leaking into his voice.
“I need to wait for her approval first.” Long Hui repeated the exact same unwavering answer.
Tang Qin Hao let out a long, defeated sigh. He finally gave up the pursuit. This man truly had a remarkable, infuriating talent for driving people pletely crazy with his stubbornness.
Not long after that, there was a knock on the door.
“ROOM SERVICE.” A soft female voice sounded from outside the heavy suite door. Long Hui stood up and silently scanned the corridor area outside using his powerful spiritual sense. It was indeed a legitimate hotel room service employee. A female staff member stood outside the door with a silver food trolley containing everything he had ordered earlier.
Only then did Long Hui unlock and open the door. The female staff member smiled politely and instinctively attempted to push the heavy food trolley into the suite.
However, Long Hui calmly extended one powerful arm, pletely blocking her path before she could take a single step inside the room.
“There is no need for you to enter the suite. I will take the trolley from here.” Long Hui stated calmly, his voice leaving no room for argument.
“Oh… Alright, Sir.” The female staff member nodded politely, quickly stepping back. “After you are finished with your meal, simply leave the trolley and the used dishes outside your room in the corridor. Our cleaning staff will e and collect them later.”
“Hmm. Thank you.” Long Hui acknowledged with a slight, curt nod.
The female staff member let go of the trolley and bowed to Long Hui before leaving.
He took firm hold of the silver trolley and pushed it into the suite before quietly closing the heavy door behind him, locking it securely. He wheeled the trolley over to where Tang Qin Hao was resting. Seeing that the table was positioned a little too far away from the sofa for a paralysed man, Long Hui effortlessly moved it closer so Tang Qin Hao could easily reach it without having to strain his weak body. After that, he carefully transferred all the covered dishes from the trolley onto the table before pushing the empty trolley aside into the corner.
“You can eat first.” Long Hui said, gesturing to the food.
“Thank you.” Tang Qin Hao nodded gratefully.
With that, he reached out for one of the club sandwiches. Fortunately, although his legs remained pletely weak and useless, his arms still retained just enough strength for him to lift and hold the sandwich properly. Otherwise, it would have been rather embarrassing to have the stoic, silent man sitting directly in front of him feed him personally like an invalid. He quietly and methodically began eating.
Meanwhile, Long Hui opened the bottle of Pinot Noir that he had ordered. He poured a moderate amount of the dark alcohol into a crystal wine glass before gently swirling the deep crimson liquid in slow, hypnotic circles. Only after allowing the wine to breathe for a few moments to release its aroma did he raise the glass to his lips and take a leisurely, appreciative sip.
The room once again fell into a fortable, thick silence.
