Finally, Hannah, familiar with the ranch, proposed a feasible plan.
"Use the livestock feed, light it, and then water it to create smoke. There must be blowers on the ranch; we just need to blow the smoke into the factory from one end."
Everyone thought it was feasible. After all, this wasn't a Hollywood blockbuster; unless absolutely necessary, no one wanted to engage in a high-rate-of-fire shootout in a cramped space filled with supplies.
Besides, the workers were mostly locals. While not entirely innocent, they weren't guilty of anything serious. They weren't there to commit a massacre; Ray King simply didn't want any main culprits to face trial.
"Baker's pickup truck has a police loudspeaker. Stevenson and I can help broadcast the ssage; most of the workers should recognize us."
Roscoe and Stevenson, both locals, volunteered. Having grown up in this town, they knew very well that the Kleiner Foundation was finished, and the town of Margrave would inevitably fall into decline once again.
Behind each worker is almost a family to support. If all of them die, dozens of families will be affected, undoubtedly adding insult to injury for this small town.
Jack's gaze fell on the Barrett M82A1M slung over Hannah's back. The massive weapon, equipped with a heavy silencer, looked incredibly imposing.
But if the goal was to use intimidation, a single heavy sniper rifle wouldn't suffice. A massive show of force was needed to break down their psychological defenses.
"Can you get any explosives?" He scratched his head, not holding out much hope. The feeling of plans falling apart was truly awful.
[A/n: I thought he planned out when he ca to this place, even if he arrived early.]
As a re lowly police officer, what right did he have to participate in such a large-scale operation? Last ti, in the cannibal case, he only had to play a minor role alongside the operators. This ti, he had to guide the entire operation based on his limited understanding of the plot, which was exhausting.
"How about C4?" Finlay gave an unexpected answer.
Stevenson seed to suddenly rember sothing, "A few months ago, the departnt caught so guy from Florida. They found 20 pounds of C4 and a bunch of detonators in his car, all still in the armory."
The others were full of questions, "A terrorist here?"
Roscoe looked at him with a complicated expression, "No terrorist, just a wild boar hunter who wants to film so viral videos."
"He plans to lure a large group of wild boars to an open area with food, and then film the mont he detonates the explosives."
"There's still ti. You guys go back and get the explosives, and bring both police cars. We can do it like this."
Jack's new plan received unanimous approval from everyone. While the three went back to the police station to get the explosives, the rest of the main force secretly climbed the hill to re-observe the terrain.
Considering that young Kleiner had at least one VSS sniper rifle, although its range was a bit weak, it could still pose a threat to the two snipers, so an observer was indispensable.
Due to a manpower shortage, Old Hunter was able to participate in the operation as he wished. He was assigned to Hannah as the spotter, while Dana was Chris's spotter.
After marking their respective positions and assigning tasks, Hannah and Old Hunter set off first, circling around to the other side of the hill. The two sniper teams needed to be about 120 degrees apart to ensure coverage of most of the area.
Soon, Finlay and his two companions returned. The C4 was divided into three parts, all of which were given to Reacher, who was responsible for detonating the target.
Preparing to begin the operation, everyone put on their headsets and communicators, checked their equipnt, and took their hiding places, quietly waiting for the opportunity.
As it approached 1 a.m., the factory area within the ranch gradually beca noisy. High-powered lights were turned on, and three container trucks waited in the loading and unloading area.
Several drivers were called out and went into the factory to rest. Soon after, the patrols began to change shifts, which was also the ti when the ard n appeared most frequently outside the factory.
It was estimated that there were more than 30 ard n here. During the shift change, at least 24 people would appear outside the factory, including the six patrol groups and those changing shifts at the sa ti, plus the two at the main gate.
A total of 28 people, of course, it was impossible to kill them all.
"Move."
With Jack's deep voice, a terrifying "whoosh" sounded. At the two ends of the rectangular factory, two ard n holding Uzi submachine guns were instantly shot in the head.
The terrifying power of the Barrett in Hannah's hand was now clearly demonstrated. Chris fired two shots with his HK417, accurately killing the two ard n standing guard at the southwest entrance of the factory.
Hannah fired only one shot. Two poor souls standing side-by-side at the northeast entrance of the factory were instantly killed: one was decapitated, the other's upper body shattered, blood and flesh plastered across the wall.
Almost simultaneously, the roar of an engine ca from the ranch gate. A Toyota pickup truck suddenly appeared on the road, and Jack and Braxton, in the truck bed, opened fire with their HK416s.
Four guards, exchanging cigarettes and pleasantries during their shift change, were blinded by the sudden headlights of the pickup and, before they could react, were all taken down by a hail of bullets.
With a loud crash, the pickup truck smashed through the gate, its speed undiminished, and drove straight into the unloading area, drifting across the road.
The next second, the driver's side door was kicked open, and Reacher leaped out like a bear, charging towards the three trucks.
Behind him, Jack, Braxton, and Zoe, who jumped out of the passenger seat, opened fire on every target they could see with their assault rifles.
Two silenced sniper rifles in the distance maintained a firing interval of 2-3 seconds. By the ti the pickup truck reached the factory, seven or eight bodies lay before them.
For the three n providing cover for the frontal assault, they only needed to focus on the blind spots where the snipers were hidden.
But for Barrett, so blind spots weren't truly blind spots. A terrified man hid behind a container, completely afraid to show his face, wildly firing his UMP45.
"Whoosh! Bang!"
The whistling sound of death ca from afar. Before the man even heard the sound, a large hole was shot through his chest.
A 12.7mm armor-piercing round easily pierced through the two thin layers of the container before entering his body.
"Reload!"
Jack was the first to empty his 20-round magazine, jumped off the truck bed, leaned against the rear wheel to reload his second magazine, and as he peeked out to find a target to fire again, he was shocked to find that there was no one standing outside the factory.
At the sa ti, Reacher sprinted back at top speed, panting heavily as he pulled a detonator from his pocket.
