For Jack, writing reports was a minor issue. He wasn't particularly familiar with formal, formulaic writing, but so things can be learned; with a few templates and so practice, he quickly beca proficient.
What was more troubleso were the assignnts given to him by Maureen — or rather, his dear Professor Cahill(She likes it when he call he that) and Rossi — various papers and case studies, requiring tens of thousands of words each week, along with a mountain of citations.
This wasn't sothing an undergraduate could casually dabble in; psychology was a niche field, and the two senior professors didn't even need plagiarism checks — they could tell at a glance whether he was making things up.
As his studies deepened, Jack needed to read more and more books, and the content beca increasingly complex. His learning scope gradually expanded from behavioral science research to cognitive neuroscience, which fell into the realm of cutting-edge science.
Much of the knowledge was no longer limited to inductive reasoning like questionnaire research, but entered the fields of science and even engineering.
Maureen is deeply knowledgeable in cognitive neuroscience. Strictly speaking, her true expertise isn't in providing psychological counseling from an office, but rather in researching the human brain using instrunts in a lab.
However, in recent years she has gradually withdrawn from these cutting-edge fields, shifting her focus to the social sciences and humanities, where she is now more interested in studying the psychology of politicians.
Of course, as Jack's graduate advisor, Maureen's professional level is still more than sufficient.
Rossi's research is relatively more practical and unrelated to Jack's degree. Whether it's psychological profiling, behavioral analysis, or micro-expression interpretation, these are even more niche areas within psychology.
His teaching thod for Jack leans more towards the traditional one-on-one ntor-apprentice model.
Of course, if Jack himself were to evaluate it, he would probably consider himself a close disciple, with Reid as a fellow student. Reid's relationship with his teacher, Jason Gideon, was almost a true ntor-father figure.
The heavy workload almost completely filled Jack's free ti. Well, it wasn't that extre, considering he had four or five extra hours a day compared to the average person, and could instantly enter a state of high concentration, making his work and study efficiency astonishingly high.
So, he still had ti to practice wood carving and cook. He would also take a few strolls to the 12th floor every day, spend ti with Hannah, and enjoy delicious lunches and afternoon snacks together.
Of course, he also had to bribe Hannah's colleagues, and soon even so of the young FBI agents who resented him were won over.
At least they stopped making sarcastic remarks, such as "the senior agents upstairs are too idle," since everyone knew that joining the BAU was like taking a high-speed elevator to becoming a senior agent.
Of course, Jack didn't forget his own people either. For a whole week, Garcia received two fist-sized cookies every day, all shaped like little animals.
This made her both love and hate soone — how could anyone eat sothing so cute?
Jack kept his word to Reid, but the way he was eating chocolate while eyeing Garcia's cookies was truly exasperating.
The attitudes of the other two won in the group were quite interesting. Since JJ returned, she'd switched to a cold, unfriendly mode towards Jack. Their previous kiss and subsequent pretense were like a Pandora's box that had been opened.
It seed to have been closed again, but it felt like sothing had already been released.
Emily, on the other hand, seed to have discovered so new anthropological specin. Sotis Jack genuinely couldn't tell if she was just gossiping or genuinely studying his relationships with the two won upstairs and downstairs.
As for Jack himself, he'd just let things take their course. He wasn't good at handling these kinds of things, like an ostrich burying its head in the sand. If he didn't take the initiative, he wouldn't be a jerk, right?
[A/n: Like if you don't suck, but the other person kept pushing it in and out of his throat, it won't be called a blow job, Right?]
A little over a week later, the aftermath of the shooting had completely subsided, and the Nevada serial rape case proceeded smoothly into the federal judicial process. Hotchner had fully adapted to his position and was adeptly fulfilling his administrative leadership duties.
Given the considerable amount of administrative work he was handling, Rossi also volunteered to take on so of it so he could spend more ti with his pregnant wife.
That day, Jack was called into Rossi's office, expecting so new assignnts or so official docunts Rossi was impatient to deal with.
It turned out he was being asked to prepare for a business trip; a prestigious international psychology conference was being held in Singapore, lasting five days.
This conference was held every four years, and Jason Gideon usually represented the BAU. However, this year, Gideon had left the BAU to return to teaching at a university, and although Rossi was back, he didn't have ti.
Reid wanted to go, but he had been busy with his mother's hospital transfer.
Reid's mother, Diana, suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and was once a professor well-versed in 15th-century literature, but she stopped taking dication during her pregnancy to protect Reid.
Finally, when Reid was 18, Diana's condition worsened significantly, rendering her unable to care for herself. Reid had to send her to a nursing ho and didn't visit her for the next six years.
Jack even confronted Reid about this, right there in the FBI gym, making him cry, forcing him to reveal his deepest fears.
It turned out Reid was terrified that his mother's ntal illness would be passed down genetically.
Jack grabbed Reid by collar, pointed at himself, and used his own experience to teach him a lesson, showing him what it ant to wish to care for one's parents but find them gone.
This ti, Jack himself was unusually moved to tears. Because no matter how he may act or behave. He didn't have his parents, they burned. So, did his future to be able to et them.
The confrontation with Reid happened two days ago. Afterward, Jack dragged Reid to Rossi for help, finding a nursing ho near Los Angeles for his mother, Diana. Then, Jack sent Reid to Nevada.
Of course, Reid wasn't truly heartless. Jack knew about his mother because the Bennington Nursing Ho where Diana had been was in Nevada. He often wrote to his mother, but never mustered the courage to go there.
Perhaps his trip to Nevada had given Reid a thought; the guy foolishly asked Jack to go to the Bennington Nursing Ho for him, resulting in a confrontation.
But Jack felt that perhaps deep down, Reid longed for soone to give him a push, and Jack had simply chosen a better way to help.
Ultimately, Jack got himself into trouble, forced to board a flight to Singapore with JJ, the BAU liaison officer.
